Did Idzik draft bad, or did Rex just fail to develop talent?

Hence why we just need to clean house. People will put most of the blame on Rex, or Idzik, or Geno, Etc. Point is that they all should go. This team lacks direction. I put development as one of the biggest problems for this team, especially at the Quarterback position. I would nervous as hell to let Mariota come here with the current coaching staff. He would be a disaster with the status quo.

Only the Jets can take a safety that can't tackle. Only the Jets can take an injury prone corner, who gets injured. Only the Jets can take a QB that every team passed on in the first round, and was a mediocre prospect who lost to the giants backup his final game. Only the Jets will fail to go get a cornerback in FA, when the HC's defense is predicated on man coverage at the position.

It's still to early to tell on Idziks draft. Which is why, IMO, it's not fair to fire him.

Aboushi looks like a starting caliber guard, Richardson is a star. Sure there are some obvious negatives as well like Geno and Saunders but Milliner and McDougle have been hurt. Amaro looks promising, Evans got hurt, I still like Pryor. We should give it some time.

Aboushi looks like a scrub that is starting by default. Don't get me started on Winters.

Richardson is a star at a position that we used two first round picks on already. Coples was not as good as Richardson but he had a decent start at DE in his rookie year. As an OLB he is subpar at best.

Millner looked pretty bad when healthy except down the stretch last year against teams that made Geno Smith look good. There is some hope for him but no one should be patting anyone on the back for that pick yet.

    McDougle, are you kidding me?

Life isn't fair and the NFL stands for not for long when the last two seasons is all Idzick has to show for the opportunity he was given.

Probably a little of both. Rex has totally wasted #1 pick Coples by trying to play him at LB. He also sticks with his favorites like Calvin Pace and Willie Colon way too long when younger players couldn't do any worse.

Yes it is because he cut all of em lmao. We're gonna have to judge Idzik's picks through other teams. I will say this though, the clown hit it on the money with Dee, Sheldon, & Jace. I would say Aboushi but he also drafted Winters so that balances out.

Aboushi has not looked bad at all, much better then Winters. Coples wasn't Idziks pick and can't be compared to the caliber of player Richardson has turned into. I like Coples, but Richardson was a HUGE upgrade there.

All I said was McDougle got hurt, you cant judge him yet. Milliner still has potential to be a pretty good player. We'll see

    He cut Saunders.

It's a terrible pick and makes him look bad, but I do give him credit for admitting it and moving on.

His picks are still to early to judge.

The best way to tell is to look at how ex-players are doing...in particular, players who were acquired under Tanny as draft picks or UDFAs. I was about to post how this is all on Idzik. But after seeing that Ducasse is starting and seeing how Sanchez is playing, I'm not so sure that it's all Idzik.

Who exactly should be starting over Pace and Colon?

Yes and Yes. Two turds swimming together in the toilet bowl. Hopefully Woody flushes them at the end of the season.

This! Our team is that bad.

Geno on the other hand should have had the plug pulled a long time ago.

Same for Winters (hell, Ducasse should have been put back in last year).

Consdiering Geno basically looks and has the same struggles as Sanchez did here under Rex, I'm going to say Rex has had a negative influence on the QBs. If they didn't look so similar when struggling with us, maybe I could give him some leeway. But it seems to be he's the common denominator between their poor play

Douzable. Snacks. Allen and Jarrett have come on (when not moved around the field). Demario Davis was a head scratcher when we picked him. Defensively he can groom some guys, I don't think that can really be argued.

That being said, screw Kyle Wilson.

Younger players who might develop. My opinion only, but when you're 2-10 and NOT going to playoffs it is time to bench the vets who GOT you to 2-10 and look at some younger players. Check out Saints coach Payton calling out 10 of players today. Rex the cheerleader/friend of his players doesn't have the balls to call out his players and that is why he has won 2 games all year.

Idzik had 12 picks, not one started in game 12 of the season, that's a terrible draft. Especially when you look at the litany of WR's and other players lighting up the league. He missed on everyone.

You think Idzik has drafted fine?Sheldon Richardson was a lay up pick any asshole could have made,he also failed on the Millner pick that same draft.Rex likely had a ton of influence over the Richardson pick to,two drafts and one capable starter amd you say he has drafted fine?Idzik has done one of the worse drafting jobs imaginable

Arguably the best WR draft in the last decade and we got no one,Amaros an intresing prospect with a lot of upside but unless we get a real QB in here his carrer will likely mirror Dustin Kellers
