Did we get into the Patriots head a little bit?

Yeah I have family up in Mass and they told me that now Patsy fans are questioning their SB wins. LMAO

Some are even saying BB and Brady are done. I hate the Pats as much as anything but calling for their heads is just dumb.

Dude...the Pats are gonna be back and even better in 2011. They have a multitude of draft picks and after what happened this year, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Belichick trade some of those draft picks for good players.

No, we outplayed them. There's way too much emphasis these days on trash talk. It means nothing, but yet people still love to think it matters.

We beat the Patriots on the field, where it counts.

I wonder if NE will get a deep threat like Moss again. NE will get better because they are young and might get a lot younger seeing if B.B uses his drafts picks next but im confident that as long as the JETS have Rex, they'll be ok in the division.

Yeah I'm aware, it's just funny to me how clueless they are. Ah well, that's what happens when you start watching football in 2001 and live in a bubble.

There's no real way to measure it, but to some degree, I maintain that all the talking threw the Patriots off their game a little bit. Look at Deion Branch yapping at the Jet sideline. Wes Welker taking the bait, answering back, and then getting suspended for a series. I think the talk made the Patriots want to beat the Jets even more than they did before it all started, and when things started going south for them, they got reeealy mad about it and started doing things they normally wouldn't do.

The Jets basically turned the Patriots into Phil Hellmuth.

I don't think this is an accurate statement at all. There is a huge difference between the Steelers and Pats and it begins at QB. Brady may be the best QB since Montana and Elway but as the Giants showed if you can get pressure on the him you can rattle him and their offense. He has no real presence outside the pocket, he doesn't turn busted plays int0 15-25 yard runs like Big Ben can. The Jets knew if they could contain Brady they would beat the snot out of the Pats, they also know beating the Steelers doesn't end with shutting down their QB. They have to play the perfect game. Trust me even though the Jets may say the right things in the media about respecting the Pats I don't think they feared or respected them. I definitely think we do respect Pittsburgh and their defense.

Please. I think the fans are still there but people are upset. I can't imagine why they shouldn't be.

I don't think the Patriots thought the Jets would play so well and so disciplined. THAT threw them off. Brady did not have good game under pressure and the inexperience of many of the young players showed. I think Chung is a great young safety but the punt fake was a bit of a desperate move that wasn't needed. AND it didn't work.

As a Jet fan what has been most difficult to deal with all year is wondering whether some part or parts of the team would for whatever reason have a lousy game. For 45-3, it was pretty much all parts of the team.

But the Jets have played quite well at other times, including in the first NE game, and of course against Indy. And with discipline.

An inconsistent team is not consistently bad, so I think many Pats fans were surprised the Jets played well. But here's the point - they really shouldn't have been.

What I didn't know about the game is whether the Jet CS would come up with a successful game plan. They did. From there the players executed well, and NE did not know how to respond.

Agreed, Brady looked flatout confused. With about 28 snaps coming out of our Nickel/Sub package with up to 8 Dbs, and not knowing who was coming looked like a nightmare for Brady.

I think many were expecting after a week of trash talking that the Jets might play intense but not as under control as they did on Sunday. I can't remember a serious Jets penalty. In fact I think more Patriot players lost it then the Jets players.

    That Harris facemask penalty hurt.

We had just sacked Brady and it was 2nd and 17 and The LawFirm gained about 5 yards. If it were under the old rules that was of the 5 yard variety. Only led to a FG though so not too bad.

I think there is no literal connection between talking and on field discipline, at least where the Jets are concerned.
