He's the EXACT same player in NE as he was in Miami. obviously he has a better QB but he's the same dump off king in NE he was in Miami. I'll just show NE 3rd down stats: Game 1 2007: 6 recs, ZERO 3rd down recs Game 2 2007: 3 recs, all 4 on 3rd downs for 1st downs. Those 3 drives that he helped keep going led to just 3 total points. Game 1 2008: 7 recs, ZERO 3rd down recs Game 2 2008: 7 recs, ZERO 3rd down recs Of his 23 recs against us as a Patriot he has 3 3rd down recs that led to a grand total of 3 points- He's scored 1 TD against us, has one 100 yd game, averages barely over 10 yds a rec- how has this guy killed us again?
Well....I would assume Welker wouldn't be as effective against the 2009 D.....as opposed to the marshmallow D we had last season.

I think that's the whole point of his responses, he doesn't want to be there at all, but he's forced to be there. He'd rather just run back into his hermit cave after every game. Quite anti-social. I guess he figures if he gives vanilla answers that no one will ask anymore questions. I'd love to see someone actually ask him why he gives these stupid responses to questions.
