I wonder if we can send him fast food the way the fans of Jericho sent nuts to CBS to get the show uncanceled.
fftopic: ive been wondering wtf is that a pic of for the longest time.....is it dentures in a beer? is it spooge in a beer? wtf is it?????fftopic:
Looks like shellfish in butter...and I think someone has already guessed that, but I never saw the confirmation. I think he likes to keep the mystery alive:wink:
I understand that some people on this board take issue with D Bricks play last year but can you get into specifics? Did you feel he was bull rushed too much? If this is how you are feeling then it might help to know that we acquired T Jones this off season and he is a legit #1 back. One of the positive things people say about him is his ability to block in the backfield. That could mean better blocking for the whole team. Was he not pushing off enough in the running game? This is the tougher one to help explain.. I'll let someone else try and do it.
Brick was our blindside OT from day one. He was far from a liability and frankly anchored a line for a team that went to the playoffs. Clearly he was doing SOMETHING right. Those who expcted him to dominate from day 1, dont understand the development of young linemen. Does Brick have things to work on? Absolutely. But he's well on his way to being a very good Left Tackle and had a successful rookie campaign.
Bull rushed? Please watch Jets vs Bills 06. Schoble(!) pushed D'Brick back so much I thought he had ice skates on.
Take away the Bills game @ the meadowlands where he was raped...he had a pretty good year for a rookie LT. As long as the guy doesn't dip down to 280 pounds again then he should be fine... Walter Jones is only 300-308 pounds. http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/4601 If he can be a premiere LT in this league at that weight...so can Brick...Brick is at 297 so he is about 5-10 pounds lighter give or take a few. I say you have to wait until after this season to have a good idea of what kind of player this guy can be. I personally think he will become a really good LT. Maybe not dominate like Orlando Pace or Walter Jones, but just a notch below. Which I would be happy with.
Please don't misquote me again. My point was that he will have more help on passing downs from jones.
Lets keep this in perspective... He got beat badly, but Chad was out of the game at that point and the game was over.
I thought he did okay for a rookie and I agree the weight is a BS issue. The line was an absolute joke in 05 at both tackle positions. We were far from perfect last year but the improvement over 05 was incredible and DBrick was a big part of that improvement.
I looked at Jones also and found he didn't make the Pro Bowl until his 3rd season which is a good sign for D'Brick. I'm not caught up in the weight thing other than the fact that it would show he was active in the weight room and dedicated to improving his strength.
I agree, we was an instant and noticable upgrade, people think about the value of the draft spot he was taken at more than they compare him to our blocking in 05... and I think we won't even be worrying about his weight once the performance enhancers start to really kick in.
