I agree with how ridiculous it is to say that Smith is worth more than Edwards, but I believe Smith's value to the team is underrated by many fans and media (obviously not this douche). He does make some huge plays on third and longs and almost always gives us good field position. We might not have been in the playoffs in 09 if it wasn't for Smith, and we might not have beaten the Bengals that year. He's no WR, but as a KR/WC QB his role is very important and he makes plays. However, the team can be successful without him.

Edwards is probably the best WR the Jets have had since the Keyshawn/Chrebet days. And I believe we still haven't seen the best yet. Once Sanchez matures a little more, Braylon is going to be a huge weapon for us. A lot of people don't know that Braylon really cares about winning. He made that clear plenty of times and even considered retiring because he was stuck on a bad team in Cleveland and didn't want to play his career out on a shitty team. I haven't seen Edwards give less than 100% effort on any play in his 2 years as a Jet, and his effort on run plays should tell us everything we need to know.

I hope so. I would love to keep Smith on the roster. However, this guy knows jack shit and if the Jets can't afford Smith, another tea will surely pony up some decent cash for him

Hey, it's the article I'd have written. Probably claim Edwards had a fake hand as well.

Anything to put off other GMs is fine by me. I'd love Edwards to stay.

Just finished reading Rex's book.. Damn - look at all the Braylon Pics.. Guy RAVES about Braylon and mentions how almost every week they highlighted things BE did to help the TEAM in blocking etc etc....

he told BE he could be the best WR in the NFL....

Sounds to me like Braylon Edwards PLAYS LIKE A FUCKIN JET.... And Holmes is a mercanary of $$$$$$$....

To talk about BE dropping balls is just Dumb NFL reporting....

IMO, Braylon Edwards STAYS..... Maybe Smith can replace Holmes if it comes to that.

Pisses me off to see a douche like this in a good job......

Pisses me off that Florio not only made it in Sports media but, he set the new standard for these other schmucks to use their pens and Ipads not to write good interesting stories but, to write the most ##### Up Crap they can write to stir up controversy and get people excited......

    Horrible.

Even Cimini went right down the path to Schmuckdom.

newest quote from Jason La Confora.
i agree with the penalties, but he didn't have 1 dropped td. I think he had a total of two, and 1 of them came when we were down 10000000points against the patriots in the 45-3 blowout game, in the 4th quarter when the game was clearly over.

but wtf dropped tds? he did NOT watch any film, or Jets games last year. this guy is so lost.

Yeah he did have a few drops, but is certainly not on any stat radars.
I'm fairly sure he did drop a TD catch as well.....possibly against the Browns, (I think). But I think it was thrown at a Million MPH.

Who doesn't love BE? He was awesome last year and want to come back :jets:

    This might surprise some people...

Cotch had 8 drops, Holmes had 5 (in 12 games), and Edwards had 2

This writer is a blowhard. Braylon does have some behavior issues, but I think being in the situation he's in in NY has helped keep him in check. He needs a coach like Rex to bring out the best in his abilities. As long as he's here, he's going to do great things for this team and he won't be a distraction.

There seems to be this idea out there that once Braylon signs a new contract, he's going to lose his motivation to play hard. I don't see that happening at all. He wants to win a championship and he wants to do it in NY. Just listen to the quotes he's said after Dennis Byrd talked to the team last year. He has been training like a mad man this offseason. If this is a guy who just wants to get paid, then kick back and drop catches, he wouldn't have gone to Jets West as a free agent, and he wouldn't have said he was willing to take a discount to stay with the Jets.

It's LaCanfora. He always has the Jets way down in power rankings and habitually says that he doesn't know why people are so high on the Jets (2 x AFC Conference games, huh?)

He makes Cimini look like a Nobel Prize winner. Ignore the rubber faced twunt.

Honestly alot of us havent bashed Dustin Keller enough. Also some treat him as a top 10 TE, when he clearly is not. especially with all those drops, and atleast 3-4 of them coming on 3rd downs.

People blame Holmes for Keller not getting the ball, which is partially true, but Keller is inconsistent with his heads, and getting separation. Bright side of this is that he is still very young, and has shown back to back to back weeks of outstanding games.
