You can give him a bus ticket back to the Bears.

I’m not sure how Forte gets touches at this point.

Elijah McGuire is the real deal, Forte has no business being on this team. In fact, I would call the Vikings and offer to pay 90% of his salary in exchange for a 7th round pick just to offload Forte.

You're right. He is the real deal. His balance, foot work & field vision jumps out & his shifty elusiveness is exciting once he breaks the 2nd level and into the open field. I already love this kid's style of play.

He came out of nowhere this preseason as a rookie HB, as did Robby Anderson's emergence last preseason. Not trying to get agead of myself but he's going to be really, really good and his field vision is crazy good. His patience is there. And his burst of speed from 1st to 2nd gear was eye opening (Jags run).

Yeah, they should be on the phone with Seattle and the Vikings.

See if they can go back to squeeze more out of Seattle. A 6th or 7th RD pick would be great.

I thought Maccagnan didn't know what he was doing? (Not directed at you).

I'm in no way downplaying McGuire as I think he has a lot of potential and looks like a good draft pick. I just want to give credit where it's due though. On his touchdown run there was a GIANT hole. Very rare to see a play like that in the NFL. The offensive line deserves the most credit for that run and I think every decent RB in the NFL takes that for a touchdown

Lawrence Thomas has been a big surprise at FB, dude smashed a guy to open up the hole for Powell's run. The offensive line seems to have gelled, and was dominating at the point of attack in the run game. They struggled in the pass game but that's because the Jags have the best pass rush and likely the best athletes on defense in the NFL. Props to the Jets offensive line.

would love that but Seattle has a plethora of competent backs, vikings have latavius murray and mckinnon waiting in the wings.

Yea i personally love his background. He's worked his way up through the ranks. When i read his history and resume on wiki; i was super impressed.

Idzik was more of a cap space type of G.M but Maccagnan on the other hand he's been a talent evaluator & a scout. He has the eye for talent which is why he's able to land undrafted gems like Robby Anderson, late rounders such as Elijah & knows to NOT pass on elite talents such as Leonard Williams & Jamal Adams.

No GM hits 100% but i love our future with Maccagnan pulling the trigger on most of these kids.

I think the pendulum is starting to swing in a positive direction for Mac......as some of these decisions and late round finds, trades, FAs, etc. are being showcased. His drafting as a whole so far I would rate average The 2015 draft was average, his 2016 draft kind of poor, and his 2017 draft excellent so far equaling average. This coming off season will make or break him. Not every draft pick is going to be a boon but he needs to hit on four of those first five picks . I'm thinking the Jets wind up drafting somewhere around #8 - # 10 when all is said and done. That's if he doesn't trade up for a QB....and even more important is his FA decisions with $80 million......spend wisely.

On a side note, Bohanon, ex-Jet FB and now with the Jags, made a horrific whiff on a block up the middle and the running back got squished.
    I laughed.

If we couldn't get anything for Decker i doubt we could for Forte at this point id like to see him just stick here and McGuire get the majority of the carries moving forward. He can teach McGuire, veterans hold more value than most fans think.

That's why Elijah needs to be higher on the depth chart, Forte does not take that in for a TD, no breakaway speed at this point in his career.

I don't see how Forte could even come back on the field wearing a Jets uni at this point. He's been the worst of the 3 RBs and you know if he's healthy, he's going to get snaps out of "respect". He's got to be traded or released for the sake of both parties at this point. You mean to tell me Seattle wouldn't want him right about now? Green Bay? Shit, trade him to the Giants.

Forte for a 6th or 7th please. I am good with Powell getting the rock 25 times a game and McGuire getting it 13-18... The offense needs to focus around these two.

I would never root for a player to get injured, but since Forte is already banged up, PLEASE DON'T RUSH HIM BACK!

Like it has been said before (and really it started halfway through last year), Powell should be the #1 running back. He is tough, has good vision, can pick up blitzes and and catch. There is no reason, unless he gets injured, that he shouldn't be getting 20+ touches per game. At this point, McGuire should be taking Powell's old role - relief pitcher/third down guy.

Lets pump the brakes a bit here on these "gems" in Anderson and Elijah. Anderson drops a ball a game and Elijah has had one touchdown.
