I remember when he started, Reggie Tounge was saying how he was years ahead of where Tounge was as a rookie.
He looked so damn good his rookie year. I wish him the best of luck and I am glad he is not going to the Giants!
Count me among those who will miss him. Loved him his rookie year, but I understand that, for whatever reason, he was simply not as productive these days...
Jon Vilma, Shaun Ellis, Dewayne Robertson, Erik Coleman, Victor Hobson, and Eric Barton is a little bit more substantial evidence than Cotchery (who didn't perform poorly before Mangini came to town, he was simply not in the lineup) and Rhodes (who recorded 100+ tackles his rookie season, the only season with a coach other than Mangini)....
My three favorable memories: interception in the first game of his rookie season vs. Cincy at home to seal the deal; also, his interception vs St. Louis in the final game of the season that year; and his INT vs. NE last year up in New England that helped win the game.
I just got back from vacation in Punta Cana, I seen E. Coleman there took a picture. I wish him the best too. Very nice guy. Kyle Turley & Osi(giants)were there too
Bye Bye Erik Falcons | Coleman contract details Sun, 2 Mar 2008 18:43:17 -0800 Updating a previous report, John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports the Atlanta Falcons have agreed to terms with unrestricted free-agent FS Erik Coleman (Jets) on a four-year deal worth $10 million. The contract includes a little less than $3 million in guarantees. Looks like we will be in need of a saftey? Whats the 411 on Elam or whatever his name is...Looks ike he has a big motor but plays a little loose..
Hence this..... I know its been repoted already on this board; he is gonna want more that 4 years 10mill? Is he really that much better than Erik?
He got more than enough chances. He was a starter for multiple seasons and didn't wow anyone. He's an average player, not bad not good.
