Oh please, Senor Forehead what kind of "upside" do you see? His interceptions? His sacks? His shit red zone ability? THAT baffles me how people really think people would rather see Henne than Sanchez and think he can take over for Sanchez. The scenarios you people come up with is just idiotic. If Mark was Ryan Leaf the past 3 years that would be no question.
None of us are saying Henne will be better than Sanchez, but many us, the NFL analysts, and even LT said Sanchez needed to be challenged. Other than maybe bringing in Flynn, I don't see how a guy like Campbell or Garrard will scare Sanchez into performing better. I honestly don't see how Sanchez and Henne are worlds apart except for Sanchez' playoff games. I also don't see (as another poster mentioned) how being uncommitted to a starter in the preseason would produce bad results. If Sanchez is really the better player then he should have no problem beating Henne in training camp.
Listen, No Henne, Manning or Campbell. If Sanchez isn't the answer, trade the house and get RGIII. I think Sanchez will be better because he will have a better offense w/ Sparano getting him blocking. Either it's Sanchez or go get RG3.
You would have to hope this is just a smokescreen..wasting one cent on Henne or Campbell would be just that, a waste. Our QB position sucked last year and the answer isn't bringing in a different backup..especially one they say may get 5 million a year. If they want a different backup then draft one in the later rounds.
