As Jets fans we had plenty of time to see what chad was capable of. He had some good seasons with the Jets but he always found a way to make the fan base doubt his ability. Flipper fans have only had him for 13 games. Chad is due to screw the pooch and when he does(which he will you can bank on it) flipper will go under water never returning to the surface for air. Fuck miami, fuck flipper and their stupid ass website. The king of the pick six will reveal his true self and all of flipper land will be bitching about him just like we used to do.

Nice to see the voice of reason in this sea of madness! Once a Chad always a Chad!

We play IDENTICAL teams except for 1 game.
    We played Tennessee... @ Tennessee.
    The fins played @ HOU.

You are clearly mistaken. We both have EASY schedules, but clearly TEN is far and away better than HOU.

That was the plan all off season when Chad was still here. They made the move to upgrade the position when Favre suddenly became available, which I can't fault them for trying. What they didn't bank on was Chad going to Miami and being the key to turning them around so quickly. So we got a slight upgrade while we gave a division rival a huge upgrade, to me that's where it blows up in our face. Especially if he comes in here and ends our season in Week 17.

But it's not about one guy vs the other because that's pretty much a wash based on what both QBs have done this season. If Chad went to Minnesota and did this it wouldn't be in our face so much, he wouldn't be coming back here in two weeks for probably a season-defining game and we're not still arguing about it so much. The issue to me is he ended up with Miami, which nobody cared when they were coming off a 1-15, but it can still bite us in the ass.

The other different game was vs the AFC North, we got Cincinnati at home while the Dolphins played Baltimore, I think in Baltimore. But you're right, 14 of 16 games are the same, the schedule is no argument here.

I just love threads like these. You realize that they play for two entirely different teams. I read the same arguments regarding Rodgers versus Favre. You can't truly compare the two because how do you know that Favre wouldn't be doing even better the Pennington if he played on the Dolphins team or that Pennington wouldn't be doing worse than Favre if he was still on the Jets? You can't tell that. It really is pointless to make those kinds of comparisons.

You want a short post? You post about Chad because you wish he was still here, for no good reason.

You love him because he was here 8 years? You must have an equal or greater number of manlove posts for Shaun Ellis. Oh wait!

(actually if you subtract out the times he was hurt, he was only here for 4.754 years.)

ANd face it - you love to root for him. A Miami F/ing Dolphin. Wow.

His performance on the three way tie thing is no more relevant than Cassel's.

    That about covers it.

Ya know what, ya know what? They're in love with Chad down there because they were horrible and hes helping to make them respectable. Just wait till they try to make it to the next level and his shortcomings start to stand out. They'll find out the same things that the Jets did. Great guy, great teammate, good quarterback. Not taking you to a Championship.

Dude, you're insane. Your whole post is a madman rant about me and it's all wrong. You've got no argument except to incoherently badger me about who you think I root for. Why does everybody else get it and not you? Why don't you tell me why Chad Henne isn't starting yet, as you guys all said he would by mid year?

    'You guys all said'.

I never want IS to be annoyed at people lumping him into a group of Chad loving fanboys again.

Wipe it off your chin, sweetness.

If you want me to go back and pull quotes I can do it. The people know who they are who said it, BB was one of them, thus "you guys" includes the guy I was talking to. Maybe that hit a nerve with you, I don't know. Some people here have a hard time admitting when they are wrong. One thing I do know, I don't see the "Chad Henne will be starting be mid-year" posts anymore.

Ah yes, good catch. Tried to look too quickly  I agree then that the schedules are a complete wash. HOU > CINCI & TEN > BAL.

Anybody who makes arguments like that is looking only at the stat lines and not watching the games. Favre makes 5+ throws every game that Pennington just simply cannot make... Period. End of story

    Quoted for truth

Its not so much about being a "chad lover" as it is admitting we made a mistake.

This story is just beginning its final act and will be a nation wide story if this situation continues. Ignore the story if you want but dont whine that its not true.

Chad definitely wasn't going to win the Jets a Super Bowl, so it was time to move on. Maybe Favre won't either, but it was worth a shot. Favre will probably leave after this or next season, but we have young QBs under him learning. There's another Brett that will be the future of this team after the HOF Brett leaves.

This is exactly right. Plus, do you think pennington could have engineered a winning drive against new england, or a drive to bring us into overtime against oakland? (just a couple examples) No he couldnt have. I honestly think these comparisons are shallow. Plus, whos more fun to watch, chad or brett? Sorry I loved chad but its over give it up people.

This is a thread for the sake of a thread. What's the point? If there are so many people that love Chad so much, why don't you go cheer for the Dolphins.

And how do you not understand that its a TEAM game. The Dolphins D limited the Bills to 3 F'n points. And the Phins scored 16 points, WOW, they're offense is unbelievable. All hail Chad, he's the man.

I'm so sick of this, Favre is our QB, Chad moved on, why can't you people? When you blame Favre, also blame the Pass D, Coles, Cotchery, etc.

The Jets fans saying move on, forget about it etc. are right. Also those saying you really can't rely on Pennington if you're thinking about the Super Bowl are right too, if only for injury risk.

But as a Dolphin fan, I can't let this go by:

He has a far from excellent team around him now, but he is flourishing.

Also, the people who say Brown/the Wildcat won the first NE game or the SD game or whatever are wrong. No point in arguing; just watch the games. Pennington made the plays.

It made lots of sense for the Jets to take a shot with Favre. But Pennington's been a great, great pickup for us. We would probably have three or four wins without him.
