ESPN screws up everything they put their hands on. That's about it, really.

What i heard tonight out of the two announcers (TK and JT), just pissed the crap outta me. Can two people really point out the same fact play after play after play. Whenever chad made a horrible pass they pointed out the obvious. Whenver he made a great throw they just said oh it wasnt that good it almost got picked off and gave no credit to chad. Can people discredit a player as much as they did to chad.

the ESPN announcers have always been awful (mostly because of that IDIOT Theismann), but they were right about Chad. Chad was off his game and made mostly poor passes.

Yeah - he was horrible. With the game on the line, he went 6-9 for 143 yards and a TD in the 4th Quarter of a game the Jets trailed 7-3 and needed to win to make the playoffs. He was 3-3 on 3rd down on the TD drive and of his 5 completions, 3 were for first downs and one was a TD pass. I don't know about you, but I want my QB to play well when it counts and Pennington did that tonight. Plus, you can't ignore the downpour in the first half. You don't think that contributed to his difficulties before the 4th quarter????

Look I understand that Chad has a weak arm, but for pete sakes, you expect him to throw or at least grip the ball in that monsoon out there? He also had an issue with how the ballboys prepare the game balls, to me that's sabatoge on the Jets by these local Dolphins fans who won't give the Jets a fair chance.

It's not the Mud Bowl, but you know what, that's not fair play either.

Kornheiser and Theisman are just terrible and one sided anaylist..really..Tirico is a good play by play.TK and JT are almost unlistenable and they just babble on and on..They need to put Steve Young in there with Tirico..He made some insightful p[oints when he was in the booth briefly..The other 2 are just awful..seriously.

How many times have I posted this very comment?
He doesn't sound anything like someone who played in the NFL. He seems as if he shows up to work and does NO Research or barely watches football.

I am not one who complains about announcers and writers but this crew is by far the worst crew I have EVER heard. I truly believe they didn't watch a second of tape on the Jets. i don't know if they were busy Christmas shopping or what but it was downright embarrassing the way they called the game. ESPN has alot of talented PBP and color commentators, they MUST make a change next year.

But I liked Patrick and mcGuire, they were ALOT better than this crew.

The key plays in the game for the Jets was the poke in the eye to Taylor and Chad not ending Leon's career with a floater that could potentially expose him to a concussion or worse.

although they beat it to death, they didn't say anything that wasn't obviously true. if you were happy with cp's play, then that sad to say the least. how low some people's expectations can go to defend an average qb. cp's arm strenght is amazingly weak. no qb in the league is even close to having a bad an arm as cp. he gets by with smart heady play but, his limitations are so blantantly obviuos, it's makes for a lot of talk (even amongst his own fanbase). a 35 yard strike is nothing to brag about at the pro level, and his level of play will not bring many victories come playoff time. reality sucks but, it's truth.

His lack of arm strength is completely overblown and they harped on it all night. he struggled last night mainly due to the conditions but as the weather turned so did Chad. all they talked about was how weak his arm is and how we never throw the ball more than 10 yards which isn't true. Chad has the arm strength to make every throw he needs to make, his lack of arm strength is completely overblown and it was obviosu those guys hadn't watched any tape in preparation.

I'm happy when the starting Qb completes 66.7 % of his passes with the team behind or tied in the 4th quarter, converts 3 FDs on third and long in that stretch, and puts 10 points on the board in the final 8 minutes against a good defense (I forgot that Pennington can't play against good defenses) and won the game. If you aren't, find another sport to watch.

Let's put there Chad bashing to the side a second. These guys (especially Theisman) are supposed to comment on the game and give some PROFESSIONAL insight...

Now I believe the Jets ended the game with NO timeouts remaining. If I'm correct.. How come no one talked at the end of the game about how if the Jets had not wasted a timeout on the Dolphins field goal, that they could have and should have kicked the FG on 3rd down. So if Graham bobles the snap they could have fallen on the ball, called time and kicked the ball on fourth down.

    That would have been professional.

What the hell? Of course it contributed to his struggles. But he had a poor game.

Theismann is the WORST announcer I have ever seen doing professional sports. He's the #1 reason why the ESPN teams are horrible every year. Look at the Three Stooges of the past few years (Theismann, Mike Patrick, McGuire) on SNF.

Almost everyone hated that crew, yet they bring Theismann back. Sometimes I wish LT would break his leg again and get him the hell out of the booth. It's torture listening to him.
