the Jets style of play I agree with you that the anouncers were really pounded the issue with Chad's weak arm. The problem I had with the anouncing was that the ebb and flow of their commentary depended on how the game went. When Miami was moving the ball, they were talking positively about Miami. When the Jets were doing well, and Chad made plays it was because of his smarts. What you look for in announcers is consistency and they just wer all over the board with their back and forth commentary on Chad, bad, good, bad, good. I will say that you can't argue with some of their assesments on his arm. He just can't make the side out pass around 20 yards which requires some zip otherwise the ball will get picked off. In the end, it was all good because we one the game. We also must realize that the Jets don't have the sexy rosters of so called "superstars" llke shockey, or Buress. And as long as the Giants play in NYC we will always be second to them which is unfortunate. But who cares what they think, we one the game and most likely will make the play offs.
That was awesome. The whole drive they were knocking his arm strength and he kept converting long 3rd downs and then the TD. I loved it.
what happened to announcers actually announcing the game? Why do they need 3 guys? why do they have to push a movie or a new cd every week? 2 guys -- one guy is serious football and one guy is color man -- easy to do -- some of the CBS and FOX teams are so much better than the monday night crew. An announcer shouldn't be voicing opinions for 4 quarters and bad mouth the hell out of a player let Tony did - he has a show, PTI, to do just that -- when he covers the game he should be impartial and not alienate half the fan base watching
I just sent this comment to Tony on ESPN's page: Comment: I thought you and Joe were unreasonably hard on Pennington last week. In a driving rain he managed a 87.1 QB rating (better than Joe's career rating), 1 TD/0 Int, division win on the road. This after 2 arm surgeries, with no running game, against a good D that shut out Brady 2 weeks earlier. He doesn't have a rocket arm but it isn't as weak as noted by you two. And no - your daughter or you and probably no longer Joe could throw the ball as hard as Chad.
I used to like kornholer because I think PTI is a rather good show. I liked coming home from work and catching the end of it.. After hearing his stupid ass comments on MNF (not just JETS game but ALL games), I wish he would shut the FU&K up and collect unemployment.. I can't stand how he kisses all the stupid actor ass...
