I'm really picky when it comes to attending live Jets games. I'll only sit in the lower level between each 20 yard line. The 2 hour trip back to Manhattan is annoying as hell.
I don't agree at all. I think football is the best live sport because it's the one sport you are better off having not as close a view so you can see the whole field. You can see plays develop like you can't on TV. Baseball is great live, but you do lose a little bit by not having replays and tv, hard to really tell what's happening until the balls actually put in play. As someone said basketball is amazing if you have great seats, but if you don't it can be kind of rough.
Today in Cimini's blog in the Daily News From Bob from Garfield: If the Jets make a ton of money off the naming rights, will they still charge PSLs for the fans? Bob: It looks that way. I spoke recently with two high-ranking team officials and, although neither one said PSLs are inevitable, I got the distinct impression that PSLs are highly likely. The club is studying different ways to ease the burden on the average fan. I’m sure there will be a pay scale (presumably, the fans in the nose bleeds won’t have to shell out as much than the guy at the 50-yard line), and they’re trying to devise a plan that will allow the payments to be spread over time. Basically, PSLs suck for Joe Fan, but it’s the wave of the future, unfortunately.
