I'm not too worried about this, just beat them. They're not that good, if we can't beat Miami at home what are we even striving for? Remember the 1998 team? That December they won on a Sunday night at Miami, then six days later on a Saturday early game at Buffalo, then just for good measure destroyed New England in the finale with nothing to play for. All of those opponents made the playoffs, too. Think they were worried about who was practicing where or where the games were? No, they just went out and beat people, that's what this team needs to do.
The Giants aren't letting them borrow Eli Manning, Osi, Tuck, Bradshaw, Jacobs, Rolle or anyone else, so this is no biggie.
i'm missing something here. i was under the impression the Giants offered their training facility. you know, the bubble west of hte stadium on 3. that is to say, the covered, climate controled practice field that is in no way the stadium, nor mimics the conditions in the stadium. how does this help them other than provide a practice area near the stadium?
Technically I would not call the Jets and Giants partners in the general sense. It's more accurate to say they are partners in a joint venture, that being the stadium. Otherwise they have no closer connection than to any other team in the league.
I was having a conversation with a Giants fan in my office about this and he said teams to do this all the time. Guy was aggravating me cause he's obviously one of those people that just doesn't know all that much about sports.
Let the shit head Jets worry about themselves, still pissed off. I am booing there asses when they come out.
They can add the Giants roster to the Dolphins if they want, I don't care...we should still kill them.
I did think of this, shows a lack of foresight on the Giants' part. Maybe not like Jimmy Carter boycotting the Moscow Olympics with Los Angeles up next, but a lack of foresight nonetheless.
C'mon bro don't boo them. If they come out of the Dolphin game flat or play a bad first half then yea I agree boo them going into the half but don't boo them during the start of the game.
how so? our practice facility is in florham park. inviting philly or whomever to our practice facility -which is what the giants did- isn't going to do much in terms of helping anyone. much like this situation.
True. I didn't realize this..... Still a dick move by the Giants. NFL teams don't ever "help" each other out. I wish nothing but the worst on the NYG the rest of the way, although I already loathed that team prior to.
Do they owe the Jets that? The Dolphins asked the Giants to use THEIR practice facility. The Giants said yes. Should they have to run these things by the Jets now? If it is being done vindictively then, according to Paul Schwartz, it's because Woody Johnson wore a Jets' baseball cap to Wellington Mara's funeral. He said this one ESPN radio (it may have been WFAN, I switch back and forth). If this is the case I have two things to say. 1. It's taken a mighty long time to retaliate for this. 2. Funeral lack of class >practice facility lack of class
False. It's something that can be reported. You can rest assured the NY media will report it if they can.
