If the jets don't suck, then I'd agree with you that all games will be in HD. However, if they start losing, and they're playing another team with a losing record, then forget it.

If we get a Gus Johnson/Solomon Wilcotts game or whatever, it's over.

Its still lame. All NFL games should be in HD. When we play Buff, Cleveland or the Titans, they could be non HD games.

Its a hell of a lot less lame than last season. Within 2 years all NFL games will be in HD.

Did You have an HD Receiver with the "old" dish?
The New Dish is way bigger than the Old One, and If you can see it, It should say "slimline" on it.

If you did have HD with the old dish, you will have to reprogram your receiver. Go to setup options, dish set up, then run the 5lnb set up.

The Baseball Package has select games in HD that are braodcast on the 90's as well , if you get MLB Extra Innings.

The only way you would get All NFL games in HD is by getting Superfan.

****Here's a trick for all interested it a little late but,,********
Gotta do this quick (before season starts), call DTV and let them know that you just upgraded to DTV HD and ordered NFL Sunday Ticket. Ask them if your upgrade includes free superfan. If they tell you NO...Be nice and explain that you are a loyal customer etc. If still NO, ask to speak to "RETENTION". Again tell them the same story. Most of the Times Retention will add it for free, if not ask them for some type of compensation. They made me pay 3 payments of 33.33 for Superfan, but gave me a 10.00 credit off my bill for 1 year.

I'm getting my 1080p 47" LCD set in about an hour, so I was interested to look at this. I didn't realize that while CBS and NBC broadcast in 1080i, Fox and ESPN only broadcast in 720p. I'll be interested to see if I can tell any difference.

    That's a good tip, thanks.

My old dish was ancient, I moved into this house in 2004 and it was already up. My roof is so high I can't see what it says on the dish, but it's huge and in a different spot, I'm pretty sure it's the right one.

So far I've recorded every game this year (Preseason) and all but 1 game from last year in HD.

I have all of last year backed up on DVD w/ Menu's and all. Actually came out better than I thought...

But yeah, The games have pretty much been all HD luckily. Funny the one from last year was the Opening game vs the Titans. GO figure.

and for the record, I record them from my antenna for free.
