Guys. Forget those 2nd's. We're now in position to strike (premium #3 + boat load of cap-space).

We should be considered lucky. DWC posts usually are like "War and Peace"

We can roll something like 15 or 25 mil of cap space into next season, correct?

It’s all going to come down to this pick. I truly believe he’s put his job on the line with this pick. He MUST know who Cleveland is taking and that’s not his guy (Darnold) and he’s probably got an equal grade on Allen and Rosen so whoever is picked 2nd he will get the other guy that he’s comfortable with. If this is not the case oh boy

Oh I 100% agree, he's bet it all on this one pick. While I still think he gave up way too much to get to #3, it won't matter if he hits on a legit franchise QB. If he fails, there is no saving him, and the Jets are set back years in their rebuilding process.

He went all in hopefully based on knowledge and not desperation.

In the end it's all just a crap shoot, for every brilliant pick that hits the mark, there are just as many Gm's that were convinced Ryan Leaf and Heath Shueler were going to be great. Historically it's about 50-50 with first round QB's.

It really is a crapshoot. For all this talk about Rosen/Allen/Mayfield/Darnold and the trade up, wouldn’t it be ironic if Lottery-Ticket-Teddy brought a VLT to NYC? What a feel-good story that would be.

It also wouldn't shock me at all if at least a couple of the second tier QB's in this draft end up developing into better NFL QB's than some of the ones that are going to be taken in the 1st round.
