We didn't get a QB at 17, did we? The value for a quarterback was in the top five...and no where else. The Jets made the right move by sliding up. If not, we'd be stuck with Percy fuckin' Harvin and all of you bashing the Gilbert supporters would be on their side...wanting Gilbert over Harvin.
There is no question the Jets made the right move. Had they not though the absolutely wrong move would have been taking Gilbert at 17, the jury has spoken. Freeman, Harvin, DHB any other name that none of the Jets fans wanted would have all been better picks than Gilbert at 17. I'm thrilled, don't think I have ever been this happy with a draft, got the kid I wanted all along without giving up nearly as much as we should have.
