Hate Rich Cimini?

If people really aren't happy with him, the way to do something about it is to organize a letter writing campaign to his bosses at ESPN.

If 1,000 people wrote ESPN angry letters every time they read a Cimini article that was overly harsh towards the Jets (not e-mails, real letters), his bosses would tell him to stop being so negative.

With Mehta, NYDN subscribers can write letters to his bosses as well. If they felt like having Mehta would cost them a thousand or two subscriptions, they'd fire him and not think twice about it.

The reality is that there's very little genuine outrage over Cimini and Mehta. Just internet rage, which carries zero weight. If people are actually upset, they'll organize a letter writing campaign and get them replaced.

Personally, as between Mehta and Cimini, I don't have that big of a problem with Cimini. I know he's a Giants fan, but I think he's usually at least trying to be objective.

Mehta just thinks he's Skip Bayless Jr.

Ok so you don't know his resume, but he's a 'Jets guy'?
longevity in covering a team doesn't make you a 'Jets guy'. He's just a problem that has lingered too long. There's a freaking petition out there to get him removed. you don't see that every day.
If we win a championship in the coming years, i don't want this schmuck out in front of it like he's some Jets guy who has been thru thick and thin covering the team. I think he may actually be a Giants fan, this is just the job he got.

Personally i would certainly welcome a kid straight out of school. I'm sure he'd write less lazy articles, and may offer something fresh.
It's not hard to upgrade from hack.
We don't need a homer, just someone capable of impartial, insightful writing and professionalism.
is that too hard to find? or should we be satisfied with a deuche like Cimini, because he's less of a deuche than the current NYDN agenda?

I am on the dont like Cimini bandwagon,,,,,,,I hated Cannizzaro in the day,,,,,say what u want but when Mehta first started he was very good but he now blows,,,,,out of all of them I might have to say I don't hate Costello ,,,,,all of these make me long for the old days of Steve Serby ,,,,I mean at least we would get decent articles from time to time along with A side locker room beat down,,,,,,lol
