Didn't you know Rex is the greatest coach ever? What GM wouldn't want to ride his coattails all the way to the HOF?

There have been a lot of close losses, that has to fall on someone during in game. Awful timeouts, costly penalties, poor playcalling. Since its tough to get rid of all the players for not executing, you then have to turn to the coach(es) for those poor in-game decisions.

The GM helps bring in talent along with other advisers but they don't have much say in anything during the game, that's where your coach and his assistants are making their money.

What is sad is Jet fans calling out each other as being idiots, etc..

Read somewhere that Woody had meeting where the GM and HC had chances to air out problems and grievances. Neither of them did so. Thus they let the so called problems grow.

I have to disagree ... We are same spot talent wise except wr... Idzik woefully ignored cb and failed at qb...2 critical positions in today's nfl. Outside of decker and harvin this team is the same as it was 2 years ago while managing to get worse at those 2 critical positions. Idzik failed.

Because coaches are judged by their record, not what could have been or what players they did or did not have. Just imagine that, a length of time where someone is not successful.
