Ok, TBJF85 still hasn't responded to this thread OR my PM for his email address, even though he's been on since. I haven't really seen him around the boards much myself and don't know how regular a poster he is, so I'm throwing this out for a vote... should we replace him? I'd like to have managers who are as active as possible, and not even being bothered to send your email to sign up doesn't bode well to me. Thoughts?
I wouldn't mind doing 8. It sort of would be a reward for us who started right off the bat, and if we add more teams later, they won't be able to just step in and be handed a godly team.
As of now, I'm inclined to remove TBJF85. That gives us 8. We can try for 2 more, or go with 8, with the former being preferable.
I'd really like to get this going now. I've sent out PMs to a couple posters here who I think would be active, hopefully we can get two more. I'd like to get a general vote going on things like draft times and categories. I'm going to set up a poll in the next post with options to vote on.
OK, I don't know how to put a poll in after you make the thread, or if you even can, so I'll make a multiple choice type thing here- please vote in the thread as soon as possible. 1. Draft Date a. ASAP (within the next week) b. Midway through exhibition games (March 15th-ish) c. Last minute (March 24th) 2. Draft Day List 3 choices, in order. It will be like the NCAA polls, points go 1-3, top day wins. 3. Draft Time a. Late afternoon (3-5 PM) b. Evening (5-7 PM) c. Night (7-9 PM) 4. Number of hitting/pitching categories Actual categories will be a separate poll once this issue is decided) a. 5/5 b .6/6 c. 5/6 d. 6/5 5. Number of keepers (might affect people's drafting) a. 5 b. 6 c. 7 d. 8 6. DL spots a. 1 b. 2 c. 3 d. 4 I think that should be good for now, until the categories get put up for vote.
