Ah I think ur math is a bit off. SB 3 was played on 01/12/69 which was the last time the NYJs saw the SB field & as today is 02/05/09 my math says it it would be 40 years & 24 days since the NYJs last played in a SB
I'd agree with you on the Saints, as the Cards, Giants, Rams, Seahawks Panthers, and Eagles have proven over the last decade any team can come out of the NFC. I thought this was going to be Nawlin's breakout year but maybe next season they'll get it done. It's kind of funny but we always dog the NFC West as the worst division in football yet they are the only division (I can think of) that has had 3 different teams play in the Bowl in the last decade and I guess if we wanna get technical the Falcons were playing in the NFC West when they lost to Denver in the Super Bowl, that was 98/99 so I guess that would count even though the divisions have changed since then.
regardless... ! to the posters point, it would be just one yr since the cardinals played in the SB, and the 41st for the Jets... no matter how bad the cards get.!!
