    and
    "Patriots roster by contract length"

That's all the justification I need right there. Subperbowl hangover and lots of tough roster decisions to make. I don't know if it'll be the Jets, we have a lot we need to pull together, But i know It's not gonna be the Pats next year representing the AFC E in the post season. IMHO That's a good thing.

Yeah, mostly you just need to get in the playoffs, as we've seen once again. It would be nice, though, if we didn't have three monster road games, which is what you get in the AFC if you don't win your division. We're bound to catch a break one of these times, it's been a while.

This has also become an issue with Indy, not so much with WRs but with OLers. Teams that draft at the end of the round over and over just don't get shots at the game-changing talents that lesser teams do. I think the failure of Ochocinco to fit into the Pats offense was a big part of them turning to the short game.

    :rofl2:

Any jumpers in Boston today? Watch out if you are walking down the street. Don't want to get hit by some 300 lb. slob wearing a Brady jersey.

The Buffalo Bills send their congrats. 4 super losses.

The way this season ended, there will be a TON of pressure on the Patriots next year. On the other hand, if the Jets do well, it will be seen as a pleasant surprise. In that sense, the Patriots loss helped the Jets.

All that other shit is irrelevant. You can flip a coin a thousand times. The first 999 have no effect whatsoever on the last one. It is the same with NFL seasons. Past Super Bowl losers have zero relevancy to the 2012 Patriots.

We enter this offseason in the best position out of all AFCE teams, no matter how badly you want to deny it. We have the best QB, by far. We had the best team this year. Our draft picks put us in the best position to improve talent-wise. And we have more salary cap space than any other AFCE team. Oh, and we have been the one team that has shown the ability to sustain success in the post-salary cap NFL better than any other. You can bet against us if you want, but don't pretend that some half-assed assessment of past Super Bowl losers makes that a smart investment.

Brady had a string of Beginner's Luck by winning 3 SB with 3 FGs. Alas, Brady has never won a SB without Adam Vinatieri. (Vinatieri did win Peyton a SB in his first year with the Colts after leaving the Pats. ) However in Brady's prime years ( late 20's/early 30's) he has lost 4 out of his last 6 playoff games - and no rings. And as we have seen with Peyton, counting on a QBs health after his prime is risky.

Yeah, it's hard to fathom that the ' dynasty' Patriots have only a 3-4 SB record. I wonder how much money Vegas has lost on the Pats either not covering ( as favorites) or outright losing.

Ummm...that break might come when Sanchez is replaced as QB. The Jets need a much more consistent QB to win the Brady-dominated AFC East.If Matt Flynn ends up in Miami, it will become an even rougher road.

The other option is Sanchez himself becomes more consistent, which comes with time and experience. He's 25 and has won four road playoff games already. What has Flynn done?

The Pats will continue to compete, yes. They will still be perennial contenders, yes. But I also think that their "era" is over. Brady will play will but slightly decline (no more 45+ td years) and, I believe , the Jets will have a better and better shot at winning the AFC East each year moving forward.

If Flynn ends up in Miami, the Jets will be fighting it out with the Bills to stay out of the AFCE cellar.

What about Brady grounding in the end zone to start the game? It's easy to find one play and blame one person, when it was a combination of many factors as well as the Giants playing lights out defense. Giants have very good blitzing schemes, and disrupted and hit Brady often enough to throw him off. We all know that's the key to beating Brady. The Giants did a good job, and did what the Ravens should have done.

record before spygate operation was shut down: 3-0

    record since:0-2

name another coaching " legend" who was fined $500,000 and a 1st round pick for cheating?

brady is an elite qb, but darth hoodie's record without him is under .500

having the other team's offensive signals sure helps an ordinary defense win a championship, doesn't it?

your new/old oc even tried the same stunt in denver.

honor, class, and truth took a hit in hoodie's three torphy circus.

like you as a poster, but you can't ignore the truth.

On the subject of Spygate, Charlie Casserly was on TV the season before and called them out publicly for their overt filming tactics. Which meant that the league was cracking down on it behind the scenes for a while before that. The 'everybody was doing it' defense isn't as concrete as lot of Pats defenders of honor would have you believe.

When the rest of the league begins to shy away from those tactics, the ones who aggressively utilize them in the interim are the ones who benefit most. Then, the Jets steal the Belichick's personal assistant Mangini, who knows the members of the film crew and the angles the Pats use to collect info from the opposing team's sidelines, well enough to beat the Pats in 2006 with a team full of young players and JAG veterans, Belichick decides to place a cameraman directly on the Jets' sideline, there is irrefutable proof of what they are recording.

Belichick's hatred of the Jets organization is what got him caught.

I don't buy into this at all.

I suspect the Pats are going to be very aggresive this off season and the players around the league know this is one of if not the best organizatons to play for.

Think about it if you had Brady with a 2 year window, cap space and a loaded front end of the draft what would you do?

The Jets have to build the team toward the future. We can't try and rebuild the same way the Pats can, we have a young QB and a young core that needs to be fortified. We need to have a couple of solid drafts and rebuild our core of coaches on both sides of the ball.

The Pats have a 2 year window and they have the cap space and draft picks to go for it right now and they will if Kraft has any brains and he clearly does.

Don't the Giants cover up the Jets stuff, though?

Why the hell wouldn't you cover up anything Giants-related on Jets Game-Day?

Hahahaha! Right, because Flynn has proven so much. It's really entertaining watching these Cheatriot fans grasping at straws the day after they got their SB dreams crushed. Keep it up.
