Minny was a much better team earlier in his career.

4 yards total offense! Wow, if he was another QB, he'd be cut today! I listened to the ESPN analyst gushing about Favre. How comfortable he looked with the Vikings offense, how he saw the plays develop, how fit he looked...give me a break! He looked awful, over the hill, and confused! ESPN has their gold and purple pom-poms out for Favre. This is a joke. Favre will go down with injury and Jackson will take over the QB duties. There's a tractor in Mississippi that misses you, Brett.

The guys been back what, 4 days? I don't know what you would expect other than awful... he has to get acquainted with the system and the receivers and get back into playing shape. He still has all the tools to be a dangerous QB. I don't think he'll do that in one year, but he'll have some moments this year.

ESPN is a big culprit in the Favre hype. They lead off Sportscenter with Favre when the best rivalry in sports resumed last night. They also do a special in show piece on Favre overanalyzing his one measley 4 yard completion that Percy Harvin makes a great shoestring grab on. It will be interesting to see if Minny gets off to a slow start like 0-3 or 1-3 and how the Vikings players react to Favre given the special circumstances around his arrival there and the preferential treatment that they obviously know he is receiving. Also Tavaris Jackson looked damn sharp last night.

Well Schefter just intimated what I said in the last post above. There's a portion of the Vikings locker room that is completely behind Jackson and wants him as the starter this year.

I could see things getting ugly there real quick if they stumble out of the gates.
