This is why we don't fire coaches every few years- Mariucci? That's what we want? The pickins' outside of Cowher are so slim. Outside of Cowhere I guess Spagnuola would be ok if he was running the D and he left Schottenheimer to run the O.

Only Fassel and Mike Tice would be a worse hire than Mariucci.

That's the problem, Spagunuola would be great running the defense. He won't be great at all trying to be the HC and running the defense so it won't happen. If he is hired he will have to get another DC and that guy may suck. So we would be left with another no experience HC trying to get his feet wet at our expense. We have already done that twice.

I know he would. This Cowher talk is crazy. Mooch is the man with the plan. Rich Eisen can be his offensive coordinator and Deion Sanders can be his defensive coordinator.

Mooch ISNT bad. He was stuck with Matt Millen, and had inept Ownership both in Frisco and Detroit.

And of course he got fired after going 10-6, winning the NFC West, and making that miracle comeback against the Giants...And then lost to the eventual Superbowl Champs.

He lost the struggle with Terry Donahue. If you can give this guy a stable GM and Owner who are on the same page, it could work...

    And yes, Favre loves Maruicci.
