believing what a free agent says is like believing what a stripper whispers in your ear.
good luck im stoned face to both of these noises and brush them off as both nonsense. wake me when someone is close to signing and my fly is being unzippered.

Absolutely. There's no way Moss or Burress will command a similar deal to what Braylon will be getting.

I'm sure they want both but there is a cap and we have a good #2 in Cotch along w/ a pass catching TE in Keller so our pass O will be fine w/ or w/o one of them.

I hope you are right, I don't want to lose either.

Yeah who hit the nail on head, I said how bad I felt.

What I did say is I can only imagine how crazy they must feel right now. We're all anxious to know, but in the end this is about their lives and where they'll be spending a majority of their time.

Holmes made $1.4 million with the Jets

As I've been saying Holmes is still waiting for his big payday.

Seriously. Edwards is a top 20 free agent and, depending on the evaluator, somewhere between the best and fourth best wideout (Holmes, Rice and Steve Smith are in there as well). He'll be a fairly hot commodity. Anybody in the league could have signed Moss last year and only the Titans went for him.

Cut that in half and minus all his other expenses and yeah he's doing okay but not nearly as okay as Braylon. I only bring that up because look at what Holmes has done and look at what Braylon has.

If you can't live on $5-10 mil then you have issues. Braylon was a higher pick so he made more, both are good WRs. You act like Holmes has had a much better career, that's just not the case.

At the end of the day, I bet you we keep both Holmes and Braylon. Tanny will surprise us yet again...

Holmes has a ring and a Super Bowl MVP under his belt.

2007 was Braylon's best year by far and 2009 was Holmes' best year by far.

I'm just talking money here, Holmes is in the position to take the largest contract and run, he's already reached every football players dream and even thrown in a MVP to the equation.

I've also said all along I'd rather keep Braylon, we'll get a better deal, he's got great Chemistry for our young QB and he's still hungry for the ring. (not to say Holmes isn't either)

Braylon has already earned $32 million.

You or I could live on $5-$10 million. But who knows if the players can. And commensurate to his abilities and accomplishments, he's owed a big payday. Similar to Mets fans who think they'll get a deal on Reyes. His last deal was 4 years, $23.5 million. This year, he might be the best player in baseball. He's getting Crawford/Werth money at minimum.

That's great, so b/c Holmes was drafted onto a SB team while Braylon was drafted onto one of the worst franchses that makes Holmes better?

Any player can live on $5-10 mil too. Especially a guy who had no money until he came into this league.

Of course he should be able to live on his salary.

    What's your point?

Yeah, that didn't help because you're a truly shitty writer and thinker.

EDIT: Seriously, can you articulate in a sentence why the fact that Santonio Holmes should be able to live on his current salary is relevant to his next contract or why he should stay with the Jets?

It's not that difficult to understand, is it? Go back and read the posts. You can answer your own moronic questions simply by reading.

of course he is doing okay. most of these guys want to make as much money as they can to screw around for the rest of their lives, and give to family, etc.

It is that difficult to understand because you never included a point. Unfortunately you're apparently so freaking obtuse that you don't realize that you can't write. So it goes.

    I can't write, you can't read so I guess we shouldn't interact?

Did you not read what I wrote?

From the very beginning I've wanted Braylon. I know you love to argue but now you're just trying to make one up.

In your post you are making a case for holmes being much better. My point was both are good WRs. I don't think there's much that seperates them.
