'97. Starting my second degree and most of the guys in my class were really into NFL, although I wasn't. One of my best friends is a huge Dolphins/Marino fan - and I knew I hated them. So initially, I chose the Jets out of spite as the Dolphins' rival. The rest is a long history of pain. One of the best things ever was watching the Monday Night Miracle with said Dolphins fan.

I hated the Giants. Still despise that team and all of their bandwagon fans. Thats what kept me a Jets fan for so long. But prior to the Giants and their asshole fans, it was about New York City, Shea Stadium, the #7 train, the insane fans(that are no longer unfortunately) and that playoff game where the stadium was bouncing. Thats what got me hooked. Went to a few games at Shea and there was nothing else like it. Once they moved to NJ, I became a season ticket holder. Remained one until 2010, which is when I gave it up. I hate the new stadium. It`s a piece of shit and not worth what they are asking for.

Before being a Jets fan? I was a Rams fan. The Youngbloods, Harris to Jackson passes, McCutcheon, Merlin Olsen, etc.., and loved their uniforms. Not the colors of them but the style. Ram horns on the helmet and sleeves.
