Herms 06 cheifs made it too. But they got bounced by Indy in the first round. If I'm not mistaken, that was season 1 of hard knocks.
The Jaguars one was pretty boring actually. I just remember they had fire dancers and them having training camp next to warped tour. ...Del Rio still managed to make it boring.
Jesus, Sherry's wet dream! If you think a few assholes on twitter were a distraction, just wait and see what happens when the cameras start rolling. No thank you. This is football, not the dating game.
I don't really get your logic. It'd be one thing if every team on Hard Knocks went on to have a terrible season, because that'd bring out the "it's a jinx, don't do it" arguments. I think the positives (small) weigh out the negatives (none).
I also am against it-----------lets practice and play football without distraction! I am sure that if Rex has his say--he would bring the team way upstate and tell them to leave the cameras home or bring them to another team
Either way I do not see it being a problem. They are the NY Jets after all. They have to put up with more media then most teams in the NFL. If they do it cool and if they don't no big deal. I don't think it would be a distraction if they did do the show.
My instinct is to say no, because i don't want any other teams having any kind of insight whatsoever into how the team operates. BUT... imagine we win the whole thing. Then, in five years, ten years, instead of just being able to watch all the games again, we will have this awesome season preview to relish as well. It will "extend" the season in a way. That would be awesome.
Again, a positive was this season as evident to Cincy. But I'm just not a fan of the show. I'll watch it solely because it's football, but I don't get why it needs to aired like this. I just don't want the distractions.
The Jets are too big for the small screen. I say we hold out for a three picture play-or-pay deal from one of the big studios. Failing that, a Saturday morning cartoon show would be cool...
The Ravens did it in the first season of Hard Knocks the year after winning the Super Bowl, and might have even won a playoff game with Elvis Grbac but lost to the Steelers in the division round I think. Put me down for liking it and trusting that the Jets won't do it if they feel it'll be a distraction, since there's been enough seasons of this to where people know how to handle it.
I never said it was always a positive. Cincy did a good job, good for them... I just don't want the Jets to be on it.
