this show is one of the better produced football documentaries year in and year out. Every time I watch a new season it makes me wonder what kinds of similar things the Jets are doing. I especially like the internal deliberation between coaches deciding the fates of the little guys just trying to make the roster period. It gives you a better idea of our true depth at various positions. Plus, for people like myself who are long-distance fans without SNY or other local Jets sources, this would be a great opportunity to see more of my team. Unless they were giving away trade secrets about our schemes (which they don't) I can't think of a single reason why this would be a bad thing
after watching the pro bowl yesterday... yes i actually watched the pro bowl.. it just makes me want this Hard Knocks thing to happen even more. Even though the game was horrible, and you had Ellis and Mario Williams pulling up and laying off sacks.. you did have players like Ray Lewis and Ocho miked up.. I thought it was pretty sweet to get a better feel for these guys and what they are really like... I basically look at Hard Knocks as a better was to get to know the Jet players and coaches..
Would I watch it? Yeah, I'd watch every episode. Do I want that kind of a distraction for the team? Fuck no.
the jets are disgusting, stank, violent, dogs...no one wants to see that. most notably, nfl offenses.
Love hard knocks, I felt for the Bungles after hard knocks.. I watch the damn episodes time after time again, I just cannot get enough. I hate non-sports television, but I could watch that stuff all damn day. As for the Jets being on it, it's a good candidate for HBO since we have such a controversial and outspoken coach. From HBO's perspective, I am not sure we fit the bill market-wise.. The Cowboys, Chiefs, Bengals (well kinda) are all regional area teams. The Jets are not even the most popular team in their own state, so I don't see them looking for us.. As for me, I would probably watch re-runs for weeks until the season started, man wouldnt that be a great selling point for those PSL's? All the rich people have HBO, giving the Jets some more exposure could take some Giants fans off the bandwagon and onto ours. We already have a better team, but the NFL nothing is certain.. In 2007 the Jets were meant to build on their 2006 suprise season and the Giants were meant to suck and we all know how that season ended up.. Jets 4-12, Giants Superbowl Champions (UGH)...
Why would you NOT want to see a close look at your favorite team during training camp? Every time I watch Hard Knocks I always say... damn, this show ROCKS but it would be so much better if it was the Jets! So yeah, I'd love to see the Jets on hard knocks, it would be awesome.
THIS! They talk & huff-n-puff enough...... It'll be fun to watch, but....no more circus if it was my choice.
BUMP! Rotoworld...: Owner Bob McNair is "pushing hard" for the Texans to be featured on 2010 edition of HBO's Hard Knocks. The Texans were invited last year and declined. McNair now wants his up-and-coming team's national exposure to increase after watching last year's Bengals squad create more buzz while vaulting to contention. The Jets, moving into a new stadium with a charismatic head coach, are considered the early favorites to land the show. SAY WHAT!?
Do any of you guys think this is a bad thing? I have no doubt that we can get the show (if we want it) with marquee guys like Revis, LT, Edwards, Sanchez, Jenkins, and Scott. Bad start for the new guys?
i think it will be fine if they are on the show. cortland still has nothing going on so the chance of it going to their heads is pretty small.
