I'm not expecting anything at all. I'm going to watch (if I can get a good stream) and observe the team in its first scrimmage. I'd like to see some cohesion in Bates' offense system. I'd like to see the Oline perform well and not get anyone killed. On the defense, I want to see them get off the field after 3rd downs.

Again, not really expecting much or looking for much. Its still too soon and they're still implementing new systems on the Oline and at QB.

The third preseason game is the most meaningful one anyway.

Sam doesn't strike me as a guy who gets nervous. I'm not worried about him in the least bit. He's got the talent, heart, intelligence and work ethic to be a great QB. The only thing that can possibly stop him is (god forbid) injuries. Bottom line is we have to keep him upright.

Preseason can be deceiving as well. We've seen Bryce Petty look incredible in preseason only to look like Browning Nagle in the regular season.

Bottom line is I want to get out of this preseason without any broken bones or high ankle sprains or anything like that

Can't wait to see Darnold light it up throwing to the golden boy 2nd round picks.. Jace Amaro, Stephen Hill and Devin Smith... oh wait...

Seriously, as someone mentioned he just needs to get used to the speed of the game, not make dumb mistakes and learn to throw the ball away. I don't want to see happy feet Nacho out there sliding face first and getting hurt.
