Favre is having a bad season?

I need someone to write me up the rules to being a Jets fan...all I get is that there is no shades of gray.

Nobody is perfect, and the QB position is definitely the most difficult in all of sports. I don't think anybody is expecting 300 yards and 3 TD's every week. However, I don't think any team can consistently win when they are avering almost three turnovers per game (which is what has happened in the last three games). That is what is frustrating. With the parity in the league it's difficult to win when you lose the TO battle consistently.

I hope that Favre, the rest of the team, and the CS can pull themselves up. I really believe that this team does have the talent to compete vs. anybody in this leage if they do use their player's skills to their full ability. There are no dominant teams this year and even the Titans and Giants have been tested. With all of the injuries that have happened this year and the relative health of the Jets (so far) there are really no excuses.

Take away that one silly game against Arizona and he's got 9 TD's and 10 INT's, against some bad competition.

Couple of thoughts as I finished watching the game.

Gotta love how Favre tried to jump on the pile to help Jones get in for the TD.

Also, I think that Favre might be playing a bit hurt. There were a couple of times where it seemed he was shaking his throwing hand and holding his throwing arm at his side.

Too much of the shotgun formation. I know Brett likes it, but it just lets the defense know what you are going to do. If you run it so much, then you had better be able to run more plays out of it than just the spread formation.

The third int even the announcers noted that the WR should have kept running his route. Still, not a good idea to throw into traffic.

Nice throw for the winning TD, but an even better catch by Coles.

Oooo! Can I play this game too?? Take away this last game and Brett has 13 TD's and 8 INT's. Even better, take away the last two games and he has 13 TD's and 6 INT's. Sorry to say, but all the games count. The good and the bad. Yes, Brett has to play better, a lot better, but you can't discount the good he has done either.

Oh, he hasn't been great at all. But good? Definitely.

And it's obvious he's not even in sync with everyone right now.

Believe me, I'm not as positive on Favre as it may sound here. He's just not where he should be and will be.

This copaching staff would look alot better of the QB was playing even decent football instead of trying to throw away games every week and allowing bad teams to hang around against us.

I agree with this. It does seem like the offense is just out of sync right now and Brett is responsible for some of that. It's like he knows where he wants the WRs to be, but the WRs don't know what he wants and vice versa. Brett has to start making some adjustments for that and the coaching staff needs to get more on his case to be more careful with the ball.

I don't see anyway to take anything positive out of Favre. He is not the future, he doesn't care about turnovers. He has happy feet and is taking some monster hits.

Yes, we can, we're cynical Jets fans. Deal with it.

Yeah....and I don't get it. Those INTs are coming when the team was in the lead. Why is he throwing the ball up as if he feels pressured to make a play?
