They have only lost back to back games once in the past 4 years. They do seem to come out stronger after a loss see Pittsburg game last week.
The Patriots play at Chicago and home with the Packers, definitely two tough games. Also I think the Lions will play the Pats tough, definitely not a gimme on Thanksgiving.
Obviously it depends on which tiebreaker has to be used, but imagine if we lost to them and we both ended 13-3 - one 13-3 team would be the 5 seed.
Its kind of just a worst case scenario. Obviously if we beat the Pats well effectively have a 1.5 game lead on them and barring an epic collapse guarantees we win the division. But wanted to figure out the flipside. Which pretty much looks like if they beat us, theyd have to fuck up pretty big to lose the division.
Yeah, what the hell? Talk about loser talk. I would LOVE to play the Pats with them coming off a loss.
How different is this thread at a couple of minutes after 4pm. Chicago, Pittsburgh and New England all tough away games for us. Miami, Buffalo and Cincy not freebies. Right now wild cards are 8-2 and 7-3 with Indy right behind at 6-4. Playoffs are not a lock. This is going to be a battle every week.
I dont know I think Playoffs are a lock. Jacksonville is guarenteed to implode so there goes 1 team off the list. Loser of the afc north is basically guarenteed a spot. That leaves loser of the AFC east battling with Oakland/Kansas city, the 5-5 titans starting Kerry Collins, or the qbless dolphins. Unless youre worried that the Chargers win out and the jets lose 5 of their remaining 6 games of course the jets are a lock for the playoffs. And the Titans have a 2-4 conference record (guess they aint beating us in that tie breaker).
We have Cincy, @ NE, fins, @ Pitt, at Chi, Bills. Finishing at 13-3 would be an accomplishment. I hope we take care of Cincy on Thursday. I think the Jets can beat the gals and get to 9-2.
all you guys are crazy, who makes these crazy threads? We were 8-3 in 2008 and went 9-7. Were 8-2, the same thing can happen especially the way we have been winning games.
It would really piss me off if that team was us. Imagine that? 13-3 would be our best regular season record in franchise history (in a 16 game season) and we would be the 5th seed . . . the SAME seed as last year. lol
Why are Baltimore and Pittsburgh basically guarenteed? They have the 3rd and fourth best records, they have to play each other again, Pittsburgh has to play us and has already lost to NE. That being said, of NE, Baltimore, Pittsburgh and us, we appear to have the toughest remaining schedule.
