We saw last week what will happen with a clean pocket, and no pressure. We saw this week what will happen with a some what clean pocket, and alot of pressure. This week, the coaching staff will probably be working on hot routes. The protection this week was pretty good, and there really were no hot routes. In addition, we didn't see alot of audibles like last week.
All we'd need to get to make this work is a stud RB to be the alternate option, 2 TE's capable of excellent blocking at the point of attack and getting loose down the seams for Tebow to throw too when the safeties came up in the box, another WR that can both block and get deep to stretch the defense, and then for Tebow to actually make all of that work once the kinks had been worked out without NFL defenses figuring out how to shut it down. Look at Michael Vick in Philadelphia. He has all of the tools needed to make this work and even he has trouble turning it into real profit. I get that you guys think it's all magically going to come together for Tebow once some team makes the commitment to shifting everything around to accommodate his skill set. What I'm telling you is that even if that were true it won't be true for the Jets. Just stick around for a year and you'll see. If I was a Tebow fan I'd be on vacation for the next 6 to 18 months so I didn't have eternal bad memories of the events about to occur.
I'm reading about how awful Sanchez is, and I'm watching Peyton Manning toss INTs to every defender in Atlanta.......... Sanchez is going to be fine. He's not perfect, but he's the best young QB we've had since Ken O'Brien. Chad could have been that if he could have stayed off IR. Just be happy that we have a pretty good young QB with potential to be better. We could have Matt Moore or McNabb or Rex Grossman......so count your blessings.
Alex Smith is a "Don't fuck up" QB, even with all the weapons he has. Yeah, he was great against NO but he got exposed against the Giants. Why else did they try to get Manning?
What's your criteria for "franchise QBs" ? How are Dalton, Newton, Bradford (!), Luck, Griffin all on there with less than two years of play basically. Do you mean these teams went all in on these QB's or what?
Luck, Bradford(fell into a shit situation), Newton #1 overall picks Griffin III #2 overall pick Dalton 2nd round pick but started as a rookie, team went to playoffs and he has a great understanding of their system and great rapport with his skill players and O-Line These guys are mainly the 1st 4 are all capable of Elite status. Dalton is perfect for the Bengals similar to how Flacco who wasn't highly regarded as a prospect but found his home with Baltimore.
Eh "potential" okay. I wouldn't call them franchise QB's yet, but franchises that went all in on a QB. (not Dalton). That's me nitpicking though.
let me put it this way if any of those teams ended up with the #1 pick none are picking QB's, they are the QB's of the future or better yet the QB's for now
I think it is a little early to be calling any of those guys franchise QBs, what have any of them proved in the league, yet (other than Newton, Dalton obviously)? They went all in on those QBs, doesn't mean 1-2 years down the line they don't completely bomb.
i'd rather lose the remaining 14 games with mcelroy in than ever see that dickless turd sanchez quarterback this offense ever again. thats how much i want him gone
I'd rather have Sanchez than Flacco. Flacco is a year further along and he's still having issues. The Ravens lost the game in Philly because Flacco was terrible down the stretch and could not complete a pass for his life. This with Boldin and Smith and 2 decent TE's and Ray Rice helping him out. What I wouldn't give to see those kind of skill players on the Jets alongside Sanchez.
At the bold it's the only reason i'm praying that Sanchez works out. To go through another 4/5 year development process with another young qb would be brutal. I think Sanchez will be fine, he made some decent throws against the Steelers it's just that the receivers couldn't make any catches. I second this. If the Sancjez experiment fails then I wouldn't be opposed to starting McElroy and seeing what we have in him. at the bold, that can be said for any QB. I would like to see (not saying it never happened with Mark) Sanchez step up and play a good game while being hit multiple times all game with a collapsing line in a tough situation. With Sanchez those moments have been few and far between.
Dickless turd? LOL you're a fucking disgrace to Jets fans. TONS of other QB's would have folded at this point with all the scrutiny this guy's been through in his 4 years here, never mind the shit show he had to play through last season by never having any time to make a decision. The guy threw 1 INT in 2 games so far. If our WR's could catch the motherfucking ball we would have been in great shape yesterday. Don't sit here with a straight face and talk this kind of bullshit when there is PLENTY of blame to go around elsewhere. Not our fucking QB who wasn't as bad as everyone is making it out to be. Dickless turd.. fuck off.
Flacco went on a similar cold streak in Philly during the second half. And like you said, everything around his team is better. Flacco has higher highs and lower lows than Sanchez. He's just as inconsistent with a better supporting cast. They didn't even run into a better team. A lot of fans like to say any given sunday, but then don't understand when the Jets lose. Sometimes, and it will happen this year just like any other year, teams are better and they show it. The Steelers are better. They have exactly what it takes to pick us apart especially without Revis. They created pressure and were able to jam the receivers. Forced Sanchez to make quick reads to covered receivers/TE. On offense they have a QB who can move and extend players, receivers that have speed, and a tough hard nosed running game. Combine that together and perfect combination to exploit the Jets. I see contract talk a lot. Sanchez was drafted BEFORE the rookie wage scale. You can't take away guaranteed money from a player. It is guaranteed. That's why QB's drafted before the wage scale are making tons more than after.
