Why not? They're both lesser backs.

God forbid a Herm Edwards coached team would make adjustments to fit what they saw on the field early on. I knew that the Colts were going to surprise people as far as shutting down the rushing attack, I just didn't think they'd be that surprising. That was some of the best run defense I've seen against that elite of a runningback since Philly kept LT to 7 yards on 17 carries. Indianapolis played it perfectly though. Johnson is a back who is patient. If you hit him from other holes, then he will have to stick to one hole and hit it. The line couldn't open other holes, so all Indy had to do was then fill their gaps.

the chiefs gameplan was awful -- typical herm -- took no chances and was so predictable

I mean two horrible field coaches, but two good locker room ones.

Colts D isn't nearly as bad as it looks. Most of the time it's just laziness that gets them out of position and opens gaps. If they put their nose on the ground they can play like they did today shutting down a star RB like LJ.

Im glad we're not playing KC because those 40 runs in a row up the middle would have racked up like 3000 yards on us.

Not when you know that's all that is coming...they didn't even need to worry about play action or passing until it became an obvious passing down.

It's a lot easier to play defense when it's one dimensional, even more amusingly so when your defense isn't the one that has to take a dimension of the offense away.

Only Herm can pull a Herm better then Herm. Yesterday, Herm showed any defender what bothered us for 5 long years. All the bullshitting in the world can get a team pumped up and win a couple games during the year that they shouldnt. When it comes down to x's and o's, I wouldnt even trust him playing tic tac toe.

Ok, enough about him. If the Jets stop the run today, this will be a game in the 4th quarter..and I think many of us will take that.

If they dont, we will be playing 2 scores down the whole game..and against the Pats..thats tough to do.

Doesnt get any better then this boys and girls!! Bring it on...and you never know.

The Colts did not stop Larry Johnson ............ Herm did. Awesome game plan and preparation. :drunk:
He probably asked Tony D's opinion the night before at dinner using napkins and crayons to draw it out.

The Jets are more than capable of stopping the Pats run attack. In fact due to the limited WR on NE I would put 8 in the box and concentrate on the run. Than again I am sure both game-plans will be different than we expect. LOL unlike last night.
