Hi - there's another Jets fan from Manchester on this board, and I'm in Chester. Quite a cluster of miserable souls in the northwest this morning! How did you get into the Jets? For me it was the 1984 season, started watching on Channel 4, loved the name and started to like players like Freeman McNeil, Mark Gastineau, Wesley Walker, then Ken O'Brien, Al Toon etc.
my best mate he's been watching for years I started watching the odd match with him really got into the sport then started to read up on the jets got hold of a copy of the history of the jets, loved the history fell in love with the team and i have a thing about new york anyway. its easy to be a giants fan, being a jet is taking the rough with the smooth. incidentally I'm in chester quite a lot do you know anywhere in town that shows games?
Just wondering if any of the UK Jets fans have made it over here for a game? I find you guys to be very interesting.
Why do people find it necessary to create threads telling us that they are "leaving the team?" Do they think that the rest of us care, in the slightest?
Some people are just to funny haha get out and dont come back if your not a jets fans... what did you expect from a 4 win season 5 more games added this year and thats a good turn around.. did some of these so called fans get caught up in the superbowl hype or trying to keep up with the Giants yeah you deserve to never watch football again because you probably never understood it anyway good riddance..
haha Cheers mate! The Premiere League is the best. Went to Highberry in '06 before they shut that place down. I've been to the Super Bowl XXV, game 7 of the Stanley Cup in '94, too many World series games to list...and that regular run of the mill soccer games was one of the top 5 sporting event experiences I ever had. Football fans in the UK know about allegiance!!!! Arsenal!!!
