thank you....too many people either have poor reading comprehension or dont read the initial post and just reply misinformed.
JP Losman Joey Harrington Tom Brady Chad Pennington Steve McNair Carson Palmer Charlie Frye Ben Rothlesberger David Carr Peyton Manning Byron Leftwhich Vince Young Jake Plummer Trent Green (Damon Huard) Andrew Walters Phillip Rivers ----------------------------------- Drew Bledsoe Eli Manning Donovan McNabb Mark Brunnell Rex Grossman Jon Kitna Brett Favre Brad Johnson Mike Vick Jack Delhomme Drew Brees Gradkowski (Chris Simms) Matt Leinart Marc Bulger Alex Smith Matt Hasselbeck
nice. thanks for taking the time to do that. looking at the list, it appears Chad's arm is the weakest. i can't pick out anyone's who is weaker. maybe Huard or Alex Smith? but i don't think so. it's amazing what Chad accomplishes despite his lack of arm strength. cheers
Just to set the record straight, Mark Brunell has a strong arm, which is a big reason why he and Moss are a good fit.
drew brees's arm is just as if not weaker than chads... he really struggles with the 15 yard out patterns also
where does everyone come off saying Brunell has a weak arm? his arm is strong; if anything, it's his accuracy that's inconsistent. Leftwich and Favre? i'm giving whoever said that the benefit of the doubt, reading it as sarcasm. back to the point: based on that list, Chad has the weakest arm. but he's a gamer, which is all that matters. cheers
All people need to do is pull up Washington at Dallas 2005 to witness Brunell has a strong arm. Brees is the closest on the list, but he's still above Chad I think.
No man Alex Smith can bomb it but its not reliable for accuracy....I would pick Andrew Walter and maybe Kitna? Tom Brady doesn't think he (himself) has a big arm but compared to Chad he is doing just fine I think.
No thanks. And I do watch the games, 2x or 3x when david posts torrents. I'm not talking about 50 yard bombs "every play." Oh, and OBVIOUSLY I was exaggerating. Duh right?
the thing i don't understand is, how come only a couple of years ago Brunell was competing in those passing competitions that they had on NFL Network? I mean he used to be know for having a good arm right? I haven't watched the Redskins at all this year. I guess after reading the rest of these posts, Irealize why I was a bit confused.. Mark Brunell has a good arm, as I thought, it's just his accuracy that blows. But I have to say that Matt Hasselbeck doesn't have a strong arm, not sure if Chad is worse. Chad can throw the deep ball realtively well at times, so I think his accuracy can make up for it. The problem Chad has in my opinon is starring down his recievers, totally giving away where he will throw it. Exhibit A: aganist Miami, Crowder knocking down a ball intended for Brad Smith in the flat. It's not enough that Brad Smith has already become a targeted player on the field, on top of which Chad was looking at him the whole time, surprised that the ball was only batted down and not taken to the house. This is why Chad has always seemed to been bad at the screens and quick-outs in the flat. Every defender knows where he is going with the ball. Which is beyod me, Chad can fake the ball like a magician on play-action, but just can't seem to look off his recievers. If he does this, and or, pump fakes the ball, we will have much more success with Herm's classic play call... sorry but last week brought up the old times, and recent posts by others.
SOMEBODY has to have the weakest arm. Might as well be Chad. If we're going to keep beating this horse until the skeleton turns to dust, why don't we just move it in the next direction: What QB has the BIGGEST arm?
