Allen is a better, bigger, stronger and more athletic version of Sanchez but with not as good a team as the 2009-2012 Jets. Neither are good enough to be NFL Qbs but Allen's athleticism and toughness makes him somewhat dangerous.But, there is a decent chance that the Bills will be drafting a QB next year although the rest of the Bills team could be good enough to make up for the lack of having an NFL caliber QB.
I think he is better than he is given credit for. Don't forget when he was drafted, he was supposed to sit and learn for a year behind Peterman/McCarron. But the Bills screwed up their QB situation so badly that Allen was thrown out there with a team that had very little to no talent. He has improved from year 1 to year 2. I do think Darnold is the better QB but I think the Bills can win with Allen. This year (assuming their is one) will be the year Allen either swims or sinks as a FQB. Same for Darnold although Sam doesn't have the team around him that Allen does.

In like a dozen games for the Yankees in 77 kingman hit a homer every other game and averaged an RBI per game. Had he qualified for the post season roster he’d have as many World Series championships as Dave Winfield and Alex Rodriguez, and a thousand other guys do. Of course he’s not Willie Mays.
