+1 It is very frustrating considering that he did not run into the kicker. The rule is the kicker has to have a place to bring down his leg. Come on man......
I knew there'd be a whining penalty thread when I logged on today. allan1 is nothing if not a predictable homer. The Jets knew this crew called a lot of penalties before this game started. They should have prepared to play a more disciplined game. I love Rex Ryan, but there is a fine line between aggressive and out of control. I love controlled chaos but without control it's just chaos.
The illegal shift call was "technically" correct I believe because you have to be set in place for a full count and the play clock was running out so Sanchez had to snap it quickly. The officiating was generally okay, but there were definitely a couple bullshit calls including and not least the "laying on the ground in the vicinity of the kicker" call. That made me want to punch a ref in the face. I mean we never should have been in that position in the first place so you can't blame the refs for the loss, but that sure as hell hurt.
No, it most definitely won't. When a kicker or a punter is kicking, players are not allowed to touch them. It's for their safety and it's a good rule. Some people asked what Braylon Edwards could do in that situation, and the answer is for him not to be where he was. You have to give the kicker space. It's a rule, and it's a good rule. Sorry it went against you in this case.
Last year against the Falcons I think he was in to attempt to block the kick on their game winning FG
The penalties last night killed us some were our fault some were just plain awful but what made it worse was it was completely one sided. For instance a defensive holding on kyle Wilson on 3rd and 28 thats like calling pi on a hell mary should almost never be called unless it has some dramatic effect. But not only was it called but the balt cbs got away with being that physical with no call. Look at the Keller going out of bounds play a wr is getting mugged going across middle past 5 yards. The pi also on Wilson in end zone no worse than what they did to cotchery on the play that went out of bounds. It was inconsistent all night. Been in debate with buddy of mine but cant seem to find any links on it are the chain guys allowed to move. I dont think it would of mattered on the Keller play but is it even allowed and does anyone no where i could find that information
Part two going on in Miami, hope Jerome Boger is found somewhere with his skull crushed. Seriously this is disgraceful the biased crap they're pulling against us
On the drive where Miami made it 24-23, Jason Taylor was taken to the ground with a blatant facemask...any penalty of course not KILL BOGER
What the F*CK is up with the zebras today!? 2 bullshit offensive pass interference calls. 1 bullshit holding call on Coleman. 2 bullshit unnecessary roughness calls (1 on Barton, 1 on Leonard). 1 blatant NO CALL on holding when Bronco #78 had Jason Taylor in a full-nelson, and the play resulted in big "completion" to Brandon Lloyd which should've been over-turned. ...so what the hell? I think the Jets' reputation as a bunch of mean motherf*ckers is drawing some biased flags from the zebras.
next example of anti jets hatred...the disaster in Denver. Refs blatantly handing the game to the Broncos
The Jets are not playing well but the refs are giving the Broncos the edge and that is exactly what they are not supposed to do.
I almost smashed my TV on that Leonhard penalty. Unnecessary Roughness? Someone oughta hit the referee in the face helmet to face. Fucking asshole.
