Usually, I can accept bad penalties now and then, because they happen to everybody...but I gotta admit, this is just friggin' weird.
Memo to the rest of the NFL When you see Shonn Greene running towards you...feel free to grab him by the back of the helmet and facemask and jerk it off his head...it's no longer a penalty.
I never complain about officiating in the sense that it "cost us a game" but today's officiating has been about as bad as it could possibly be. Missed holding calls, soft PI calls...just terribl
I usually don't like jumping on the "wow the refs are totally screwing our team today" because I feel that the opposing fans on each side of the game always feel that way every time their team plays, but bobdamnit, today there were so many calls going only 1 way, and really weak non-calls at that.
i'm impressed by how the jets overcame the awful reffing. they missed a few on denver and hit the jets with everything and the kitchen sink. i'm really hoping something is done though. the refs need to be better.
Worst officiating so far this season. If that douche didn't grab Holmes's fask mask RIGHT in front of him, they wouldn't have called it. Jim Leonard should practice his 2 hand touch...Obviously, you can't hit people anymore.
Today was one of the worst, 1 sided officiated games I have ever seen. But truth is, I'm not surprised because I have said it on a number of occasions, DENVER GETS CALLS If you watch their games you see, they CONSTANTLY get calls their way. Now that Tebow is there along with them getting rid of "Trouble Players" it really REALLY makes you ask if there are other forces in play...
Great job to overcome that kind of officiating... not that worried about how the team played... you always take a win at Denver
I'd be pissed if I was the jets organization. it got to the point where it was literally a joke. it's one thing if there are ticky tacky fouls that go either way, but when it's just so blatantly 1 sided and flat out bullshit calls (i.e. that cromartie penalty, leonard, braylon's offensive pass interference)... unbelievable
It was a joke, and Dierdorf backpedaling after each call and siding with the refs was basically rubbing salt into the wound.
This is why the refs in certain places within the NFL always give the calls to those teams that are considered legacy teams. Home town calls. The Broncos are crap this year, yet they are getting on the good side of the refs for no reason. If a love tap is enough for pass interference then throw the flag. The O PI on Holmes was complete bull****. He got interfered first, but nooooooooooooooo. It has to be him to get called for it. The Broncos got those chintzy calls and in fact the refs along with the NFL cheated to help the poor sucky Broncos get a win.
Dierdorf is a major douchebag. Once I saw it was him at that other douchebag doing the game, I kept the sound off almost the entire game. There really are very few announcers of NFL games that are any good. I actually had the sound off on the Giant game because the one announcer (I'm drawing a blank on his name), the one with the bad hair transplant, makes me sick just to hear his voice.
