Based on what we saw last weekend he's going to get 450+ throws, given that he threw the ball 31 times in a dominating win which was rarely in question. If he gets 450 throws at 7.5 yards a throw, which would represent a very strong rookie season - a bit under Matt Ryan last year but not much, he'll have 3375 yards throwing. If he gets more throws, which is a trend that passing QB's have seen recently, or if he performs better as the season progresses, then yes I expect him to get 3500+ yards. Ryan, Cassell and Rodgers all got there last year in their first season as a starter. If Sanchez is what he looks like he'll get there too.
When is the last time the jets had a QB throw for 3500 yards? note that not even last year with Brett Favre did we have a 3500 yard passes (he was 3472.) Was Vinny the last one to do it? maybe in 1998? either way.... I seriously doubt a rookie throws for 3500 yards, on what should be a run first team.
If guys are going to send 8 to stop the run your going to be forced to go aerial, You got playmakers like Cotch and Keller with solid hands and good YAC and we can definitely move those chains, I'm definitely see potential for a 3500 Yard season, honestly I dont want Sanchez throwing the ball too many times I see maybe 17-24 times a game is good enough for his first year damn no one in this post did I mention Leon Washington, I bet Reggie Bush wishes he was as half as good as Leon man
