sooo They are capable of winning this game? I certainly hope so, and yes the backs need to stop running straight into the defense and those turnovers have got to go. the last couple of weeks the team looked totally unprepared yes against THE DOLPHINS AND THE PATRIOTS this team was unprepared.
This team just doesn't know how to make adjustments. If they did, we would have looked a little better the last couple of weeks. I just don't see them doing it again this week. They will be playing like not to lose and very conservitive.
I don't get this either. If the right side of the line is compromised, why run right up the middle? Wouldn't you run left, away from the weak side? I mean are these things common sensical? I'm noticing stupid mistakes does anyone agree? The coaching staff seld admittedly said they tend to over think and over analyze things. If you are "over analyzing" and your ultimate decision is run up the middle, something is wrong.
I'm not of the SOJ mentality by any means, I just look at what I see in front of me and the Jets offense will struggle again this week, we could not do anything against the 5th ranked defense in the league, this week we are going up against the 4th ranked defense. The way this offense has struggled I do not see any way we pull this game out.
Doesn't the coaching staff say they can run at will? Don't they also say, our run game is so strong, we can tell you where we are going to run and still execute? Point is, even if the opponent knows the Jets are going left, the Jets should still be able to do it, according to the coaching staff. Running up the middle or right is like cutting off the nose to spite the face.
The offensive line is key to victory this week. Pitts offense is as bad as ours but they score points on D. We have to protect the qb and open some lanes some how
The Jets can beat the Steelers. In fact, I see the Jets winning. Sanchez to Polamalu might be an issue to worry about though. The Jets D can dominate the Steelers O. Should be a close game. Jets-20 Steelers-16 Final.
Jets have a great opportunity to beat a good team. They can do it. But I don't even feel comfortable trying to guess at a score. if I had to guess i would probably go with 9-7 Jets.
I don't see them winning this game at all..........as much pass protect problems as the Steelers have been having, I think they put up 20. I see a 20-10 loss (perhaps 20-9 is more realistic)
The reality is the Steeler's offense is worse than the Jets. The Steeler's secondary is worse than the Jets. They are also more one dimensional. There are few things in football uglier than a zone blitz scheme that has been figured out. Had Belichick demanded 60 minutes at Heinz, the beatdown would have been much worse. I don't get the "Superman" mentality. The Steelers should be thought of as equal to the Jets and whoever plays better will win
"RT @SteelersDigest Bad news: Heath Miller couldn't practice today because of flare-up of post-concussion syndrome"
Roethlisberger seems to get away with quite a bit of dangerous throws when he's got guys pulling him down. Hopefully we can make him pay for one or two of them with INT's.
You mean like an offense that can't score TD's, or a team that is so undisciplined on offense that they kill their momentum on offense with stupid penalties.
