How the Baker extension is really going to turn out:

    $0 million/3 years= $0 million/year

    Cotch's:

    $19 million/5 years= $3.8 million/year

    Baker gets jacked.

the only thing is cotch realizes he has to play for his money and seems like the most team-first guy we have on the squad.

Just shut your mouth now and catch some balls. He's young and he's got mad skills. If they didn't rob him in cleveland , he would have been on his way to be considered amongst mention of great Jets tight ends.

Baker will not be on the team come next season. They just wanted him happy for now. Keller better get some playing tine this week.

Bold predictions by so many on these boards. Everyone seems to have it set in stone on what is going to happen, yet, he only continues to get better and better. It is hard to let go of a guy who is really productive for your team and I honestly think Baker is going to have a HUGE year for this team. I don't think the Jets can afford to let him go after this season.

It is almost comical on how many on these boards are so set on, Keller. He hasn't proven shit yet, he is no where near as complete of a TE as Baker right now, so how are you guys going to try to scratch him off the team already? That is hilarious.

The day Baker signs his sham extension, the Jets also put a TE on their practice squad.

Coincidence - I don't think so. The team is already preparing for Baker's eventual departure.

I am glad they finally got it done. It isn't good to have things like this in the locker room. I hope he and Farve get going together.

Baker has the potential to be a playmaker TE especially in the redzone. I am glad we got this deal done i would of hated to see him done

If he had just shut up and played, Baker would have cashed in on a 1M bonus in addition to his salary next season.

Now I think it's likely he'll get nothing. He'll be released and play for the vet minimum + spare change for somebody else.
