I guess it makes intuitive sense that the NFL would subject the Jets and the fish to penalties if they found out. But exactly which rule in the NFL bylaws would they be breaking? I know it's a weird question, but I'm curious. Is there a Herm-type rule in the NFL that you play to win the game?

This is the NFL, not the Election of 1824.

the OP is saying the two teams wouldnt have to win that last game of the season......where if they dont agree to tie, the last game essentially is a playoff game so they have to win that one plus first round to get to second
