The Jets always have "their guy" in every draft. They always trade up to get him, and it usually works out. See Revis and Keller
Then why are the Jets never close to getting "their rings?" Trading up regularly is not the best way to build a team.
All you know is name recognition...it's obvious. You want two of the three receivers with questionable route running -- the two guys that will take a couple of seasons to develop into legitimate pro wideouts. Just because Sanchez went to USC doesn't mean he compares to Leinart, it just means he was one of the best recruits in the country coming out of high school -- in fact, Sanchez was the #1 rated quarterback in the nation coming out of high school... Chad Pennington would've been a good fit on a Rex Ryan team - he wants someone who can manage a game. Mark Sanchez is a cerebral quarterback - Mike Mayock, probably the best pro talent evaluator, is constantly praising Sanchez for his smarts on the field. I didn't say Maclin was a bad player...I said that the Big 12 isn't one of the best conferences in college football, especially with teams like K-State, Iowa State, Baylor, Colorado, and Texas A&M. Texas and Oklahoma are the only powerhouse schools in that conference. T-Tech, Kansas, Mizzou, and OK State are pretty good...but not elite. Do everyone a favor and stop trying to act like you know what you're talking about...it's pretty clear that you suck.
How much are they willing to give up? Supposedly the Jages wouldn't ake the Pats #1 and Middle #2. The Jets gonna cough up their #1 for both this year and next? I find this hard to believe
No...I just hate the trash that comes in here and posts just during the draft. Especially this guy that actually thinks drafting Mike Crabtree over Sanchez will be a smart move...simply because Mark Sanchez played USC...and so did Matt Leinart, who is the backup to a MVP candidate and a proven vet that led his team to and almost won the Super Bowl.
I don't know who the Jets should draft. I would like them not to trade up and give away picks like the past few years. Stay put or even trade down and gain a few picks in the second or third round.
