See, I just don't understand your point here. The Jets defense played their vaunted passing attack better than any team in the league has all season. At no point did I think the Broncos "looked great". They are a good team with a solid quaterback and a well-executed spread offense who made some plays. In the end we held them to a season-low of 209 passing yards. In doing so, we were gashed by some nice runs against some of our nickel and dime packages. The bottom line is, our defense overcame three crucial turnovers by our offense and held them to THREE lousy points off of those turnovers (not to mention holding them scoreless off of an onside kick recovery)
We won because of an interference call on an underthrown weak pass by a quarterback who has had 2 bad weeks in a row.
If the defender doesn't interfere there's a good chance Holmes catches that ball. He almost caught it with his head being twisted sideways. It's nice to see you're back for another round of Sanchez hate.
LOS ANGELES - Southern California backup quarterback Mark Sanchez was released from jail early Thursday following his arrest for investigation of sexually assaulting a female student, police said. Sanchez, 19, was arrested around 4 p.m. at an apartment complex near campus. He was released shortly after midnight after posting $200,000 bail, sheriff’s deputy Ban Nguyen said. Police took DNA and hair samples from Sanchez, the Los Angeles Daily News reported, citing unnamed sources.
It's pretty clear you're not a Sanchez fan. That's fine. I'm not putting him in Canton yet either. But the kid's not going anywhere. We're not gonna turn into the Dolphins who spend a decade plus playing QB carousel. Rex is our guy, and nobody doubts that. You'll have to fire Rex before Sanchez goes anywhere, and neither one is happening for a long time.
:rofl::rofl: Thanks Columbo. Did you find the part yet where Scooby-Doo pulls the Sanchez mask off and finds out it was Old Man Withers from the amusement park?
Is that why the picture was so fucking bad? OMG I thought CBS had their heads up their asses Sunday and it was the god damned crowd. Wow - impressive.
Your kiddin...... Denver brought the kitchen sink to that game. The went totally away from the scheme they had been using and brought shit the Jets, nor anybody else, had saw on tape. They played like it was the freaking superbowl. We got their best shot - on steroids (figuratively) - and it STILL wasn't enough. And that was on a short week, after a tuff Monday night game, flying across the country, in thin air, to a place that is hard as hell to play, when they weren't even fucking playing well !!!! ....and they STILL FUCKING WON !! Name me one other fucking Jets team that could have gotten anywhere close to pulling that off..............these fucking boys are the real deal.
I still found it shoddy that they had a camera that could not be stabilized. They could have went to another shot or placed a camera in a place that was not as prone to that shaking. This is not the first game they broadcast from Denver. I believe it was done purposely (in terms of camera placement) for effect.
Can't believe Jet fans are actually complaining about winning. Winning on the road in the NFL is tough. The Broncos aren't a celler dweller in the NFL. Orton has been one of the best QBs this year. The jets struggled for the most part but were able to come away with a victory and thats all that matters. They have 2 weeks till their next game and most players should be well rested and healthier.
The Jets got raped in Denver by the officials, despite their poor performance in the first half. Which could be pinned on the thin air Denver has having an effect on them at game speed...who knows. What I do know is even with the first half, if a fair game had been called the Jets win this one anyway, and earlier.
my thought is that for all the words you typed you failed to include any bit of sense to your post, which indicates you probably are incapable such to begin with. what you said is that unless a team is dominant every week, they must be weakening if they win a close game. that's beyond fucking stupid. since only two teams in the history of the NFL have ever gone undefeated, and there has been a Super Bowl champion or NFL Champion every year since the league was created, clearly every best team in the league every season has had bad games in which they have had to struggle in victory or even...gasp...lose a game. it is one fucking game, and there will probably be a couple more like it through the regular season. in fact, the Jets will probably lose a game or two as well from this point out, just like every team in the league. so, does every team weaken on a week in and week out basis? or just the Jets? if everybody, than it is par for the course and nothing to even be concerned about. if just the Jets, you are in irrational and illogical hysteric. just f'ing stupid.
U create such a thread and then say that the Jets got screwed on some tough calls? Than u say the Jets got a break with the PI penalty? Seriously, how the hell is a face mask not a pass interference? Jets did not get a break on that play. It was the correct call. And the would have been far from close if we weren't penalized for no real reason several times in the game. Yes, those calls are part of the game, but they all went into Broncos favor and it happens. FYI - Colts won atleast 6 such games where Manning had to come from behind or their D had to resist a game tying/winning drives last season on their way to the super bowl appearance.
Here is why you are wrong: - Denver is THE hardest place to play on the road (altitude, loud fans) - The Broncos are better than their record indicates - The refs were way too nitpicky in the passing game, atleast they made up for it by giving us an obvious one at the end. - Not every game is going to go our way, I believe that a pretender team would have lost that game. We had so many variables going against us (Sanchez was not sharp, their run defense was good, them being used to the altitude, the loud fans, bad calls, ETC) and yet we still found a way to win. - Going back to the Broncos: I would not be surprised if they finished this year 8-8 or better, they have a legit passing game and some veteran leadership on defense and like I have said before: They are tough to beat at home. Besides the unlucky opener @ J'Ville, they have only lost to The Ravens, The Colts, and us. Quite possibly three of the top 6 teams. So was it an unspectacular win? You could say that. Considering the variables, I would call this win a "character builder". We won a tough game right before the buy week, I personally think to pull one out with a lot of adversity heading into the buy week is a very good thing.
