The CS must think that if we put Ainge on the practice squad, we'll lose him. So he makes the roster.

We have to keep at least one RB and one CB on the practice squad now.

He got stuffed at the line a lot too, but no worse than TJ I guess.

And Carroll - God, I hope not

Since this isn't official I'll reserve comments until we see the final cuts at 4pm on Saturday. At this point I'm very surprised that both Chatman and Poteat are on this list and will believe it when its official.

Nooooooooo...I was really beginning to like the idea of Chatman on our squad. I've liked him since I saw him fill in admirably for the fins last year. Combined with his preseason performance, I am shocked. Guess we're stocking up on TE and WR instead. Still, I'm a little worried about RB depth.

My guess is he ends up on the Giants:rolleyes:

Koz'll be happy about No-show Chatam being gone. He was a JAG, no biggie.

As well as Poteat plays, his yo-yo status can't come as a surprise at this point. Guess he got outplayed by Stuckey. But seriously, he will be missed.

The rest were inevitable, Caulrick's blocking has been awful.

    Wonder who's next?

Carroll's scary, but Mangini must like his raw talent...maybe he thinks he can work his D-back magic. That's if he makes the final cut...

I'll be curious how many of the guys we cut end up on other rosters. I'll bet a few do.

And I hope to God that Carroll doesn't make this team.

I thought both Chatman and Poteat played very well this preseason, and were locks for this team.
Frankly, i thought they were 3rd best RB and CB, and provided excellent depth.
    That stings a little.
We're really going to carry only 2 HB's and 1 FB?
That is not enough for an alleged run oriented team.

cutting jesse chatman makes zero sense to me.
they still will need a 3rd back behind jones and washington.
there won't be anyone cut who is better than chatman.
if this is true about chatman, then perhaps the jets have a trade in the works.

Were only keeping two backs, it makes sense. Especially considering we have 4 qbs who can make this team, and about 7 wrs. If we cut any of those there would also be outcries. and poteat blows, i just wish it was barrett

  13. I'd actually like to see Carroll make the roster. It's not like he's gonna be our # 2 corner next to Revis. His blazing speed is an asset on special teams as a defender and as a returner. Meanwhile Mangini can try to work him into a decent cover corner.

that is not enough backs even if the jets were employing a run-n-shoot offense or an air coryell type offense or if mike martz was the oc

If the team is really serious about establishing a power rushing attack, we'd need at least 3 backs if not 4 (in case one of the top guys gets hurt).

What happens if TJ goes down - we run Leon 30 times a game ?

    It doesn't make sense.

to keep other teams from signing him off our practice squad

The coaches must really like what they see with Ratliff, Clemens and Ainge to keep all 3 of them.

  20. This also may mean that we are keeping all the tight ends

Don't forget that posciak can play FB
