I'd like to think that smart coaches would keep as much talent on their roster as possible. It's a nice thought, but this is a cut throat, win now business. I highly doubt they're going to cut someone because they deserve a chance to start. If they deserve a chance to start they should get that chance here.
I didn't realize earlier that this was an unconfirmed report. It just doesn't make sense that these two would be among the first people cut. It doesn't make sense that they would be cut at all, but even if they were, why would they be one of the first? My completely unfounded conspiracy theory is that they put a false report out on purpose to see what the response would be by GM's around the league. I don't know if they have a way to determine who is looking for that information or not. It's just an idea in response to an unfounded report that doesn't make much sense.
Interesting that the rumor is Chatman may get traded to Baltimore. They are also looking for a QB. I wonder if some package deal is in the works there. The Jets must have some other RB in mind too. Whether or not that is from Baltimore or not we will see. Maybe a QB and Chatman for Ray Rice.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. It would make sense on a lot of fronts if there is a trade in the works for Chatman involving Baltimore. Could have been they were showcasing Ainge too. Just one more piece that would help sell a few more PSLs.
He's been disappointing so far. We'll see how he does this year behind a better OL. They still havent obtained s RB to effectively replace Curtis.
Yeah..People are probably confusing Chatman with Chatham which is where all these rumors are coming from.
Runningbacks are a dime-a-dozen unless you have a top 10 talent. The running game in the NFL is all about the talent on the line and the blocking system used. That's why Denver keeps taking 3rd rate backs and having them go for 1,000 yards. It's why Pittsburgh always has a "great" runningback on the team. Of course if you have a top 10 talent guy then that's a plus.
