Is Bryan Thomas completely healthy? I haven't heard much about him.

The one I don't understand is how is Demario Davis behind Josh Muaga? With how much they've been "pimpin" him I would think he would be the number 2 behind Scott. Hmmmm.

I guaranty no other team has a guy named "Demario" and another named "Damario" on the squad simultaneously.

Davis has to earn his spot. Mauga is actually a very solid backup. This depth chart actually shows a lot of depth at ILB.

Yeah, I'd guess for this preseason game, they want Davis to see a lot of action in the second half. They already know what they have in Scott and Magua.

Not to take the conversation too far down this road, but I'm slightly surprised Tebow isn't the holder.

Because Muaga has been here longer. First preseason game hasn't happened yet and the listings does not effect playing time really. As a rookie you got to work your way up. Coples is still behind Devito. I'm sure Demario Davis will receive more playing time than Muaga.

I was gonna ask if Davis' spot on the depth chart reflects his play or is more of like a formality this early in the Preseason.

While Muaga has been around longer, I'm hoping hard that Davis moves up, based on his talent/potential alone, before the start of the Season.

Davis is showing up behind Mauga because thats our depth chart for our ""Base"" defense, the 3-4.

Davis should have an expanded role in the 4-3 where he is a better fit, and we will be using far more often than the 3-4.

Note how Coples also is listed as a backup behind Devito even though Coples WILL see the field more this year than him.

This depth chart is worthless for knowing who is going to play how much, since we will be using a 3-4 that much at all.
