Man, I really liked Chris and I guess I was fooled (along with the rest of us) with his attitude. This is a player getting payed what he deserves to be paid and nothing more. What has he done to prove that he is worth elite TE money? haha seriously! has this been reported on a wider scale? because the only place i've seen/heard it is here. seems like stunts like this are what have ESPN drooling due to their sensationalism fascination. as far as the Jets organization goes, i'm surprised they're tolerating this. maybe they're waiting to find a good deal, waiting for teams to make cuts or potential injury so we have more leverage in dealing him.
Maybe they are getting his room ready in the rookie dorm as we speak. They left Kendall in the first pre-season game until the third quarter last year, out there with all the rookies, that's another option.

The dorm thing was pretty lame, and they got savaged in the press for it, so I doubt they'll go that route again. I think we've already seen what they're doing - they're fining him for obscure violations. I expect the next time he parks his car in the wrong place they'll have it towed to a lot on Staten Island. The Jets have no reason to do anything right now. They'll wait to see if they can get anything for him, and if he doesn't like it, too bad.

This is a sorry mess that could turn into a disaster. If we lose one lineman and Baker is gone we will have s**ty line again this year! This mess needs to be resolved now. The NYJ need to figure out how to get a blocking T/E so they can get Baker out of here.
