Who are these "people" you all speak of?

Do the folks in Oregon get cable?

I'm surprised we're so far ahead of the Pats. They won it last year and still have Belicheat and Brady.

Part of it might've been the way the Ravens ended the Pats season making 'em look over-the-hill and slow 33-14. Pats are getting long in the tooth, Moss-33, Sammy Morris-33, Kevin Faulk-34, Fred Taylor (great career before N.E.)-34. Maroney is the big, sexy-looking underachiever and Welker's coming off major knee surgery (Edelman's ok but is no Welker). They've lost that air of invincibility. Just three years ago, "greatest offense ever" was being thrown around to describe them. That was then and times have changed. Let's see what their 'many bodies drafted' does for them with Spikes, McCourtney, Cunningham and those two TE's.

Now I wouldn't normally post anything from this Bolshevik rag (huffinton post), but it contains a video of Ray Rice's 85 yard run--this is a "zone blocking" thing of beauty. Center Matt Birk blocks NG Vince Wolfork (granted, Wolfork was dinged up-hadn't played for a few weeks) and gets help from RG Marshall Yanda who knock Wolfolk out of the way--Wolfolk ends up getting smoked. Yanda then wheels around to his right and plants a solid hit on LB Gary Guyton rushing in (the Ravens cleaned house in the middle) and Rice was off to the races, with the pursuit looking pretty slow.

Elsewhere, Tully Banta-Cain can be seen dancing on the edge unable/unwilling to get off his block (a la Gholston) while Jerod Mayo (a good player) suprisingly tenative and allowing the LG to get downfield into him. But Yanda's 'two-for-one' blocking is sweet. If you view this, suggest putting your cursor on at the beginning and keep clicking it (repeat the first :03 seconds)--you'll see what a mauling that took place upfront; beautiful:

The higher we are in the "power rankings" in July and August the worse we usually end up. I just want to get it on with already.
