I will never forget that season, it was such a roller coaster. We opened the season against Buffalo and Chad Morton ran 2 KO's back to beat the Bills including the opening KO in OT. Then Vinny struggled much like Foley did in 98 and he was replaced by Pennington. That 3 week stretch was amazing, we started by blowing the doors off the Pats in Foxboro the 1st week, then I remember we played the 4 PM game that following week against the Packers and I can remember thinking the season was over when I left my house for the bar because Mare had just given the Fins an 11 point lead with under 5 to go and somehow the miracle happened, Brady throws a TD pass and a 2 point conversion and somehow the Pats get the ball back and kick a FG all in under 3 minutes to send the game to OT. Had the Fins won they would have won the division and instead they choked it away.....hahahaha.

If I remember correctly that was also the season we played the Raiders on MNF and they stopped the game and brought Tim Brown's mom on the field in a golf cart when he got his 1000th reception..... only Al fucking Davis

we were really banged up the first 6 weeks or so of the season. It wasn't just about the QB change.

that GB game in week 17 was probably the best non playoff game I have been to. what a range of emotions that day, that was a fun run to end that season and we had a chance in Oakland tied 10-10 late in the 3rd. I remember a Chad INT that easily could have been broken up by Coles but he gave up on the play and everything changed from that moment on.

yes, that was the year we lost on MNF at Oak when they stopped the game. we had a chance to win that one, I remember a huge fumbled/muffed punt by Chad Morton.

Great post junc. I remember that 41-0 beat down. I remember hoping the colts wouldn't score a fg in garbage time to preserve the shutout.

I won't derail the thread but reading some of these comments about sanchez>geno makes me sick. just want to put out there that Sanchez had a better oline and better weapons overall than Geno has had last year and this year. Everything equal Geno is the better qb. Underthrown/overthrown/inaccurate ball placement...How quick we all forget

you are derailing, Geno isn't half as good as Sanchez and hasn't show half the ability.

How the Dolphins choked that game in 02 was incredible. We needed either the Falcons to beat the Browns or the Pats to beat the Dolphins...when Atlanta lost we figured our chances were over.

Yeah, it really was. That was an epic chokejob. People forget how badly some of those Wannstedt Dolphin teams choked.

That Sunday was just magical. Who would have thought that we wouldn't win a division title in the next twelve years??? Amazing.

one has proven he can play and help a team win big, the other has not.

You're not going to outthink Peyton. He's seen everything Rex is going to throw at them. So instead of trying to freak them out play a more standard defense without any of this shock and awe crap. Just let your good D players on the line make plays without having to put your Dbs on one on one coverage or no coverage when he beats the blitz. I'll take Wilk and Coples and Richadson over their O line. It's your only chance. Allow your best players to make plays and don't put your weaker links (the Dbs) in impossible coverages.
