as a fan who goes to school at west virginia university and whose family moved to minnesota, i am meeting my dad and little brothers in new york for the opener and i am going there with the expectation that we will at the very least give them a good game, perhaps steal a victory, i completely agree with gangreen04 on that watching jets games to me is like a 3 hr vacation for me every sunday and i hope the rest of you guys who are going to the game will be cheering as loud as me, bc i know as soon as we get that first good play and the crowd erupts into a j-e-t-s chant, there is nothing like it (except for when we had al toon tooooooooooooon) i will be in sec 236 cheering our boys to victory, please join me
Vinny was still capable of winning and was 4-10 as a starter, the bottom line is when Chad plays we win and it's mindboggling how litte respect he gets from Jet fans. Brady is better than Chad, Brady is better than any other QB of his generation and no Brady hasn't had great offensive personnel around him but he has elevated the players around him.
Aren't those pitch machines set to throw a minimum of 60'6" or 20 yards? How are you going to throw a 5 yard pass with an automatic pitch machine?
Well as I have said time after time that when I see something positive I will post it. Why don't you try to conger up some positives & I will happily look them over to see if I agree with them. From what I see there will be NO CHAMPIONSHIP flag flying either at the stadium or at Florham Park until 2010 at the earliest
I think bot hyour points are not really mutially exclusive. Chad wins in the regualr season. Brady wins both in the regular season and in the playoffs. Chad gets a lack of respect because we've come up short with him in the post season while he was healthy. Now it seems to most not only is his body not up to the 2002 Chad level, but he is slipping in the mental aspect. Some of that may be true. He did have his worst season both interception wise and red zone efficiency wise. The hard part is finding out is that because of the weak O-line (likely), the lack of running game (see the O-line) or because of Chad? As a Jets fan you have to hope he proves his detractors wrong and is amazing this season leading us deep into the playoffs, but being as pragmatic as possible, I have my doubts that things will go that way this season.
Chad cannot compare to Brady, the only QB even in the discussion w/ Brady is Mannin so let's toss out the Chad vs. Brady comparison and Chad hasn't won the big games in January but he has won twice in the playoffs and we haven't lost a playof game specifically b/c of him. He's had some bad games but it all hasn't been on him, he din't throw 5 INts in a single game or anything like that.
I don't buy it in a million years. The Pats were always characterized as a bunch of utility guys....character guys.....and they won. Brady IS a better QB. If you've ever watched the pats play, you couldn't say otherwise.
